Good morning Angels fans! baseball is nearly here. Have some links!
Angels News
The Angels Pitchers and Catchers report to Spring Training today. Some other teams went yesterday and some will tomorrow.
Angels games will be direct to consumer through MLB, the team announced. Who will produce it? Still no idea, but yay! $99.99 this season, or $19.99 a month.
Reid Detmers lost his Arb hearing. He’ll be paid at the team’s desired $2.625MM rate rather than his camp’s $2.925MM filing figure. Which means Arte went to Arb court over 300K.
Around Baseball
Verlander is going back to Detroit. That SP staff is deep.
Well, not THAT deep, as Reese Olson is out of the season. So THAT’s why they have Verlander back.
Tigers also get OF Austin Slater. He didn’t want to go to NY.
Spring Training is here, because Kris Bryant is on the IL again. Still a better contract than Rendon.
Also Bowden Francis is out for the season for the Blue Jays. UCL surgery.
Blue Jays also lose Anthony Santander for 5-6 months. With how bad his 2025 went, this has been a horrible signing by Toronto.
Another SP is off the board, Tomoyuki Sugano is going to the Rockies. Seriously? Couldn’t outcompete the ROCKIES?!
So is former Angel SP Jose Quintana. That one they can have.
Braves lose a SP, as Spencer Schwellenbach is on the 60 day IL. Not Strider, the other Spencer.
The Braves do get catcher Jonah Heim though. So, there is that.
Rays having fun, giving away a Pablo Sanchez Bobblehead. He is actually the age of most MLB players now, maybe even older than most given he first appeared in 1997.
Anything I missed? Post below for upvotes!
So much for Bassist. Signs with O’s
We should try to get Max Scherzer on a 1yr. Nice to see a future HOF play at the stadium. But the real reason is he would be a guarantee trade candidate at the deadline (if healthy). Any contender looking for veteran experience with decent arm will want him. A good chance to get some prospects before possible lockout year.
He signed a 1 year deal with detroit
I think Verlander signed with the Tigers, but Max is still out there (and collecting $15MM in deferred money from those “should be illegal” Washington Nationals).
Shit if I knew they were looking for a bassist I would’ve sent them a tape
Hate the Rangers for being better than us all you want, this giveaway wins the season.
Ryan jersey the night he took a line drive from Bo Jackson off his face, and kept pitching.
How goes it Rex?
It’s not only P&C day – it’s PECOTA day as well!
https://www.baseballprospectus.com/standings/
As PECOTA predictions are probabilistic, W-L records are generally not integers. They predict the Angels will win 66.5 games, and lose 95.5 games. 29 games below .500 and the worst mark in the American League.
In the NL, the Nats and Cardinals are projected to have marginally lower records than the Angels – by less than a win – and the Rockies are projected to have the worst record in the MLB.
Only one team is projected to win more than 100 games (Dodgers, natch), and only one team lose more than 100 games (Rockies, also natch).
66.5…?oh lort. If the Vegas O/U is the same, I might need to take the over.
I’ll take the under on that as the roster is currently constructed. Maybe if they go out and sign Bassitt and/or Littell I’ll say a 90 loss season is possible.
Fangraphs was more bullish, with the club at 72.9 wins – within a game of last year:
https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds/fg/div
Seems a touch high to me, but a wisdom of crowds estimate of 65 to 73 wins feels like a sensible range.
Differences between PECOTA and FG this year: FG still sees the White Sox as the worst AL team, Angels second. They favor Detroit more in the Central (PECOTA, surprisingly, likes KC). FG likes Boston more than PECOTA does, and thinking the AL East is going to be a complete dogfight between the top four teams.
I think their likely selling at the break should make it hard to reach last year. I like the over at 65 – but the under at 73. So I think you’re right. Sure a few of their projects might return to form – but that doesn’t seem enough from some other lost pieces.
I don’t think we’ve had a year in which you are more bullish than I am.
Last year the team lost 90 games despite remarkable health from the rotation most of the year. They’ve replaced 300 innings of Anderson and Hendricks with prayers that Grayson Rodriguez and Alek Manoah can stay healthy and Reid Detmers can start.
The team went 6-0 against the Dodgers and swept the Red Sox. Hard for me to believe they go 9-0 in those games again.
Kenley Jansen really won several games, and he’s gone.
This is the worst Angels team I’ve seen in a long time, if ever. And they play in a good division.
Damn, we’re gonna get our first 100 loss season aren’t we…?
I don’t know that I’m particularly bullish in any sense of the word – if I had to spitball a number, 67 or 68 wins seems about right. It looks like a very bad team.
I think there’s probably an equal likelihood of the Angels losing 100 games as the Athletics becoming a .500 team this season.
So you’re about 8 wins higher than I am.
57-105 looks very doable to me at this point unless Klassen and Dana or Farris steps up to fill the back end of the rotation.
Gimme 70+ wins
Put me down for 69 wins

Or maybe 67
I might jump on the Cardinals and the over. They have some young studs that might contribute fast. Just a hunch – but I have a feeling J.J. Wetherholt wins ROY.
What is the over/under for Dodger wins? You mention over 100 wins.
There is a real opportunity here to go with the UNDER on LAD. They are far beyond other teams in terms of talent and likely will practice load management throughout the year. The regular season will lack interest to them and will glide into the postseason.
FG has them at 99.5 wins, and PECOTA has them at 104.1 wins.
(I link both predictions above.)
Dodgers are -140 to win 100+ games at Bet MGM.
I can’t figure out how to bet the under on my app. But is is going to likely be about +140 which id also take.
Sounds about right. It could go 6 games either way, but they still don’t sniff the playoffs.
“F’ing Quintana. That dude can roll”
I like pitch to contact guys and Quintana has out performed his peripherals for long enough that I think his art of pitching simply baffles the number guys.
But Colorado is a horrible place for him. The difference between soft contact and hard contact is literally fractions of an inch. If his bendy stuff loses even a tiny amount of bend, he’s going to get shelled.
He and Lorenzen are both part of their new plan to throw out guys who have multiple pitches and change what the hitter sees a lot to see if that works at Coors. Their new dream pitcher is Seth Lugo…. or Jared Weaver and his multiple fastball variants.
I tell you, if any human ever figures out how to get a pitching staff to perform well in Colorado they should win a Nobel Prize. It actually wouldn’t shock me if guys who can locate pitches really well collectively outperform velo/spin rate pitchers in that park. They should get an entire staff of Jaime Moyers and try it out.
My favorite theory thus far is to get guys who change speeds well. The thin air impacts break, but it shouldn’t impact MPH.
Yes, sometimes a hitter will sit change up and launch it to the moon, but I’d think if a guy had 3 or 4 pitches with a decent amount of speed difference between them that would work in pretty much all environments.
Lorenzen, Q, Sugano…things could get real f-ugly for those guys. Rockies will put a AAA team behind them while they pitch. Things must of have been very dire in terms of interest from other teams.
Spring training has not officially started until Rex posts pics.
We need some pics Rex. Fishing trips, muscle cars, Arizona cuisine and I guess Angel players….anything we need pics to start the 2026 baseball season.
I am bitter like everyone else about having to pay to watch games on broadcast, and won’t do it. But I will not abandon the live games. Cheap tickets, reasonable parking, tailgating, bring my own sushi and peanuts; it’s a good time. Sure the team is not good, owner sucks, but I’m dedicated enough to still support them. Those of you who seem to be totally sick of everything about the organization and players remember there is always an ‘easy way’ option: just head north and go blue. Jump on that wagon: great management, players, a winning team, wealthy. And gee, you get to be with Ohtani again. Have fun, I’m happy to stay with the losing team in red.
If the Angels follow the Padres route you won’t need to pay the $99. They’ll work deals out with cable and satellite companies to include the Angels channel in most tiers. Just wait until everything is said and done.
If you are like me and primarily keep cable for Angels games, though, cutting $100+ bucks per month by buying the $99 package seems like a solid deal.
I’m probably going to Hulu Live with ESPN+ and the MLB.TV package soon.
I also don’t know how to quit this team. Even worse, I’ve brainwashed my 7- and 4-year-olds into being excited for our 4–8 Big A visits a year. My daughter also likes the Dodgers — she’s been smarter than me since the womb.
Excited for Opening Day. I’m going to steal your move and bring sushi in.
I still have a great time at the park, maybe even more so since we’ve been bad. No stress, anxiety, expectations. Just enjoying the game. Padres and Giants games have been fun to take the kids to in August and September as a change of pace and reason to travel/see a sporting event. Might get back to see the Dbacks this year and check out that Sacramento team too.
For reals. This is a comfortable level of zen acceptance for being a die-hard fan of a perennial loser. Tailgating with the kids — or pre-gaming at the brewery across the street — no pressure. Leave at the 7th-inning stretch if we’re getting pumped. Arte’s made me comfortably numb.
With the ages of mine and Champs kids, the empty ballpark is actually a bit of a plus. At worst we wait for ice cream for half an inning. The kids can walk the concourse near us without getting lost in the shuffle.
No use on spending huge money on tickets for little ones anyway.
We have a whole routine. Player intros/fireworks, watch the game, eat some snacks food (mostly brought in), play some Pac-Man, make a loop around the park or two. Now that I’m spelling it out, quite a bit more fun (in a different way) than the good ol days.
Similar.
Get the boy a cheese pizza and once he’s done with that we break open a bag of peanuts. Cracking those things and talking takes a couple more innings.
Somewhere around the 5th inning we start our loop around the ballpark and will get ice cream somewhere. 7th inning stretch is decision time.
My daughter doesn’t like to eat peanuts but likes to open them. Win for me.
Can’t beat $5 upper-view seats in the shade. Cheaper than paying to see the latest sequel/superhero/CGI craptacular thing in theaters.
Ok now you guys are making me wish we just suck forever lol
Nah, I hope the team is good by the time my son is old enough to recognize a good team.
Dude. I had a blast in Sacto last year. A’s fans have fun. I stayed in the river boat hotel in old town. Not very expensive when you realize you can skip Uber etc and just walk to the games and it’s cool. The little stadium is fun for fans if not players. Then you just walk back to Old Town, go see the Capital during the day, lots of good eating…. it’s a great trip. You should do it.
One issue, that I actually got a kick out of but some may hate, the seals. I guess, during Covid, a big group of seals migrated up to Sacto and figured out they like it there. They live on the dock by the “Ziggurat” and at night they like to party. The hotel gives out ear plugs. I just turned up my sleep noise machine and it was fine. I thought the seals were cool, but some may really hate them.
I love seals (from the california golden seals hockey club to the actually pier 39 or sacto ones). We call them water dogs. White noise happens every night at this address.
Appreciate the heads up and sharing your experience, we’ll definitely check it out this year. Years past I always tried to line up our travel games to if Angel were in town, fortunately I stopped that a few years back.
I hope those seals are vaxxed and boosted.
Borderline child abuse. At least my kids who born in early 90s had some good teama to watch.
Hahaha!
Seriously. I’ve made them Raiders fans too. DCFS should be called…
Perhaps a legit glimmer of hope for the Raiders? Finally.
Nope. Lalalalalalalala. Not listening.
Seriously, the only time in 20 years that I’ve had hope. I had Fernando Mania after Indiana’s first couple of games, and I’m ride-or-die now. We might eventually win eight games and get a playoff dub — the first since Rich Fuggin Gannon. I’m still 90% sure this will end badly…
I too am an abusive father. My 4 y/o is a fan of the Angels already. He just started tee ball – there are 8 teams and guess which one he ended up on? The Angels of course. Poor kid is doomed.
I think anyone who has young kids get a pass from the no-money-to-Arte plan. My kids are grown and fully launched and married. If I had young kids, I definitely would be taking them to baseball games as I did with my girls. So, that would be the exception to the rule in my opinion.
As a parent, you want to be a good steward of Angel fanship to the next generation. That is totally understandable. That is stronger than any current issues with the Org.
Yeah. I agree. Been here before Artie; be here after. Hopefully…
You know that’s exactly where I am. Arte sucks but I’m not going to let that get in the way of a nice Sunday afternoon and some ice cream with my son. His youth is going by fast enough already and a few hours at the ballpark with him are priceless.
That said, I’ve realized which ballpark is a little less important. The occasional Dirtbags game serves the same purpose.
Totally understand. These issues with this Org are small compared to the enjoyment of baseball with your son/daughter. I remember those days very fondly. And both of my girls love the Angels because of it.
Watching baseball games for me is also about watching the opponents players. Just like to watch the game and by chance, see great plays.
Rhett Bollinger has lots of clips of guys throwing if you need to get your fix. Kikuchi throwing to live batters here https://x.com/rhettbollinger/status/2021649334580981995?s=46
It’s so Angels that after an entire off season, current worst contract Stephenson is already a week behind. I’m setting the over/under on innings pitched at 10 and April 1 as the date he first hits the IL. While we’re at it, the same numbers for Joyce.
Stephenson is an under for me.
Joyce is an under for me too. I think they slow walk him back from injury and he sees a little work in September.
Which dude undergoes arm surgery first?
Ben Joyce said he’s going to throw off the front of the mound today for the first time. He is behind the other pitchers but not much.
Robert Stephenson said his first bullpen will be later this week. He’s also a little behind but expects to be ready for OD.
https://x.com/i/status/2021629532323950864
Stephenson because he is now a millionaire, Joyce needs to put something together. But you gave no odds. 😂
Party at Rendon’s. Stephenson called shotgun.
I don’t know. All I know is that I blame the Angels themselves for these injuries because I’m a dumbfk.
Nah yer not dumfuk, It’s the players. They give themselves painful injuries on purpose to please the Gods of Halo JuJu
Stephenson, after 2.1 innings.
I just checked Polymarket, no lines on this prop bet yet.
It’s got to be Joyce, his physical frame just flashes warnings signs every time he fires a triple-digit pitch. At least Shores is built like Fort Knox but even he has had is arm reconstructed. Shores might be the third guy to watch along with Ben and Robert.
I have been a spectator of this site for a while now. I have found some entertainment from the articles and the comments. I thought today (the start of another spring training) would be a good time to join the circus.
I remember my first game at old Angel Stadium when the Big A was in left field. My dad told me to pay attention to this rookie – Carney Lansford. He told me he was going to be special. So, I have seen a lot of Halo baseball. Some bad times and some great times. So when you are depressed about upcoming season, and you are hating the owner and the GM, and you see no light at the end of the tunnel – remember how you felt when Darin Erstad caught that fly ball in October of 2002. Find the joy again guys! – Life is too short to wallow in the darkness. Go Halos.
Welcome to CtPG, enjoy your hopeium while you have it 🙂
Love it and welcome. I too can’t wait for $5 Aug. seats to take my boys to the ballpark and create lasting memories with family.
My mom always wished we had kept Lansford.
Welcome EHC!
Welcome aboard!
Welcome Even Halos Crash!
We made it y’all — Spring Training 2026!
I ask all of you to consider not paying to watch Angels baseball this season. Not at Angel Stadium. Not streaming. Not a dime. Send a message to Arte that you want him to sell with the only voice you have that he might listen to – your pocketbook.
Consideration denied. But I feel your pain. Maybe only do the monthly. Then if they are as bad as we expect – cancel.
Understood but I’d rather spend that $20 on toilet paper than give a dime of it to this Org.
But aren’t you excited to see all the free agents he picked up on his exorbitant shopping spree? LOL
You mean all the bullpen arms? Because the #1 thing to think about for this team is a “closer”! As if the rest of the team will provide multiple opportunities for a “lock down closer”. 🤪🤪🤪
Promotions are sponsored. I doubt Arte spends a nickel on them.
If you must go – make cookies at home. Park elsewhere.
I’ll most likely pirate the games because I’m frugal and know how to, but you have to see the absurdity in your ask, right?
Good on you for sticking to your guns and doing what you think is best. Angels baseball brings me immense joy and I’m not going to deprive myself of it in some fruitless effort to stick it a corrupt billionaire.
I assume the call for everyone to throw away their iPhones and Nike apparel is next?
Maybe that is the issue. I derive no joy from this Org at this point. From the upper management decision making down to the performance on the field. It’s all just mediocrity. It’s unwatchable at all levels unless you derive joy from gawking at accidents on the freeway.
That’s totally fair!! Some days I wish I could distance myself from the Bad News Angels — just can’t quit em
This is exactly how I feel. It sucks being a fan of this team, but I still enjoy watching and following them.
Maybe its because I’ve only been a fan for about 10 years. But that also means all I’ve known is pain and I never got to enjoy any of the good years in the past.
As a fan since 1961, I know exactly what I’m getting into. The Arturo/Minasian combo is pathetic but I’m focusing on the big picture, which includes throwing as little $$ as possible, and enjoying a couple players I like. Zero expectations means the pain of watching the terrible result is manageable, and dreaming the team will be sold eventually..
That would be me also since the beginning as kid with my dad.
That’s some dedication lol. I am ’95 baby and 2002-2015 was a goooood time being a fan!
I DO actually know, via several people who work in sports marketing, it really does matter if:
FanForLife’s thing happens and subscriptions (if a team has them) fall off either month to month or year to year.
And it really matter if season ticket holders don’t re-up and they give negative feedback. That feedback goes into the data and gets discussed in meetings.
Also, and this is one many may not realize, but concessions, parking and MLB merch matter because they are partners. Aramark gets pissed when the numbers drop. So does the rest of the MLB when a teams contribution to the over all jersey/hat sales suck ass.
THIS is actually one of the reasons I pick on the Angels and their sad ass red on red on red NASCAR hats. The rest of the MLB wants teams to refresh or add additional merch looks regularly to boost over all sales. Unless you are the Yankees/Doyers teams are expected to do new variants, etc fairly often to make money for the borg. The Angels do this less than even legacy teams like the Red Sox.
So the “spend nothing” plan does indeed work, especially in these areas. One way a guy I know put it is that paying an MLB team and the cost of a stadium is VERY HIGH and when you start to see revenue drop actual year over year profits dive really quickly. The year in year out value of owning a team goes away fast cause, remember, the billions the team is worth or just theoretical bucks till you sell.
I knew buying four Big A tall boys at an 80% markup was just helping evil Arte… it’s me. I’m the problem. It’s me. My alcoholism is stronger than my social justice.. 🍺
Hence, I have no idea why he’s holding on and continuing to lose money.
I’m not spending on the Angels because the product being marketed just sucks. There’s nothing remotely entertaining or interesting about the on the field “talent”. They’re not competitive, they’re not underdogs. It has nothing to do with smiting Arte….because I don’t believe that Arte actually cares what the fans do or think.
If I want to watch AAAA players, I’ll go to a minor league park and pay minor league prices.
We have not attended a game in years, and he still owns the team, besides, he enjoys taking the money and telling us “F” off by doing the same things year after year, I mean look the W-L record, and maybe you will see that he just does not care.
The hiring of new gm and coaches shows me he cares, but it’s very little. He allows his idiot cronies to run this team.
New GM?
New gms. He doesn’t keep them around very long if they aren’t successful. Perry is gone after this year.
So, when he said the Angels would lose something like 40 million dollars last year, YOU decided he was a liar? Just wondering. The Belove Cowboy’s wife said the Angels were always a “small market” team, I am sure you remember that. If they are, then where is all this MONEY to spend coming from? Don’t tell us there is “plenty of money” until you prove Arte is a liar.
We’ll wait.
with all due disrespect:
No. I’ll spend my money and time how I want, and with who I want. Arte is not going to feel your pocket book or see the ivory tower you are grandstanding on.
With all due respect:
I realize a single voice will not be heard – but I am suggesting a chorus will be. Particularly if it hits Arte in the pocketbook. I am only suggesting, not insisting. You obviously do what you would like to do with your money and time.
As an aside, I think you are using the term “ivory tower” inappropriately. There is nothing about baseball chat site nor CTPGs that qualifies to any extent as “ivory tower”. We are way too low brow for that.
“Soap box” would be way more appropriate.
soap box, mom’s basement, whatever you want to call it.
I’m sure you will be contributing to Arte’s wallet in some fashion this year
Mom’s basement apply to you? Certainly does not apply to me. I haven’t lived in my parents home for over 40 years and have owned my own for 36. So soap box is more applicable.
I will do everything possible not to put a red cent in Arte’s pocket.
The frustration is real, but affecting the orgs finances still won’t change Arte. He will keep on circling the wagons and keep himself and his buddies in charge. He clearly doesn’t see that he and his buddies don’t have what it takes to create a successful baseball team. Keeping money away from Arte won’t change his stripes. It wouldn’t surprise me actually if he left the Moreno org which controls the team to his buddies in his will (if his family doesn’t want it).
If Arte sells it won’t be because we kept money away from him. It would be because he sees no other options.
If Arte actually leaves the team to KuhlPino I will laugh to death.
Attendance is down from the “glory yeaes” of three and out playoff losses to the Red Sox. By a lot. I doubt the collective dollar value of the entire body of this site would even make a blip on the bottom line, given that attendance is already significantly down.
So another 40-80 off the average isn’t going to “make him sell” anymore than whomever he sells to will be any better. Ask the fans in Denver if the Monfort brothers have been a Godesend. Or Bob Nutting for the Pirates. Ohhh! How about John Fisher?
Booo. Politics. Why bro? Why? Can’t we all just be captivated by the saga of Rada’s attempt to hit a ball further than 70ft against MLB pitching?
The only thing lamer than Billie Eylash’s constant dull “I’m a hot rich girl who’s dead inside and I am not having fun” affect is talking about her hot takes on a baseball website.
Let the Libs and Cons all suffer Angels baseball together bro.
The weird thing is, his first two sentences in no way relate to the rest of what he wrote. Billie’s message at the Grammy’s (which I was unfortunately forced to watch by my 13 yo daughter), which was said 10 days ago, must have been eating at him so much to the point he just vomited it here with no provocation. Strange.
Nothings really eating at me at all… really comes down to not saying dumb things to try to appease the masses. In this case, the entire site minus P12 is disenfranchised with the franchise. Why try to get everyone on board with something that isn’t going to happen? Just make a few “I” statements. “Can’t we all just get along?!?” 🦭🦭
This from you, right pints?! Not to me btw. Looking Landing (you’ve been stumping for the M’s) could use a few stooges.
wtf does that have to do with what you or I wrote today? you’re reaching dude, desperate for relevancy.
Nice to see you making amends/dry hump gitcho’s leg is all.
Pointing out how stupid your above comment was isn’t humping anyone’s leg. Gitcho and I have had back and forths for a long time, yet the following day can converse about baseball etc. You know why? because we’re both adults who don’t dwell in the past, like you’re clearly doing with Billie’s comments supporting immigrants (btw, who is your favorite immigrant baseball player? Or do you only support da whites?). Grow up and get a life douchebag.
I guess we all have different ideas of what stupid comment are… to me the “I’m a hot rich girl who’s dead inside and I am not having fun” comment is stupid as is ‘71s continued efforts to get people to join his anti spending money on things people want to spend their money on.
Why are you trying to make this about immigrants? I don’t understand her statement, nor do I understand ‘71s. Roberto Clemente, we share the same bday.
“I don’t understand her statement”…so I’ll begin my long-winded comment quoting it, along with my own commentary on it. Cool story 👍
Yup, just another thing to notch on things I don’t understand I suppose. Guess I’ll just go back to the liquor store and tell all the alchys to just put it down while I’m at it. Or maybe I’ll try to piss upwind again or try a yellow snow cone, who knows?!?
you do you
You too Matt White
Who’s your favorite immigrant player pints?! Is it all of them because we are all immigrants?!?
dude, you’re crashing out. I recommend logging off, taking a walk outside and getting some fresh air. If you want to talk baseball when you’re back and feeling better, I’ll be here.
Time for all to relax.
Sounds good. Enjoy moderating here when/where you want. Every comment here isn’t directed to you or personal. Personally, I’m as fine with 20-30 comments a day on here as I am with those in the 100s (which usually have some sort ‘controversial’ topic)
Honestly man, I don’t really know wtf you’re talking about. Have a nice day.
Happy Spring Training!
Its a day meant for celebration, yet here we are at one another’s digital throats. I apologize for my harsh words and wish you and everyone else a great season.
No reason to apologize my guy, I’m really not offended by anything on here. Appreciate the sentiment. I actually like when we get in the weeds here sometimes.
No doubt I’m a dumbdick tho
Well that certainly escalated quickly and de-escalated quickly.
Proud of you guys!
Let’s move onto things that are really important: Bad Bunny or Kid Rock…? Jk jk jk jk 😜
Kid Rock was never cool. He wasn’t even in the top five when the rap/rock genre dominated alternative radio. His music makes Limp Bizkit sound like Led Zeppelin.
I saw Kid Rock perform at an old KROQ concert with a ton of different bands. He was the opposite of good. He had a bunch of girls dancing on stripper poles on stage with him, that’s really all I can remember.
I can imagine… I’m a geriatric millennial who purchased some questionable music in my youth — remember that song “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” by Crash Test Dummies? No? Good for you. I bought the whole album…Luckily, I was mostly never into the rap-rock/nu metal scene. I may have dipped my toes into some Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. I’ll admit that did Bob my frosted spiked tips to Korn and other angsty stuff late 90s. 🤦
Of course I remember that song. Not only did it have a really weird music video that is engrained on my brain, but I’ll hear it dozens more times before I die as it features in one of my favorite movies, Dumb & Dumber.
I will never get past the fact that he totally ripped off the music from Werewolf of London by Warren Zevon and styled the song as some kind of homage to Lynrd Skynrd. Warren must have been spinning in his grave.
Ugh… so bad. DJ Khaled ‘sampling’ that Santana song with Rihanna up there too. It’s not a sample if it’s just the same damn song on Rhi-Rhi mewling over it. I like Rihanna but DJ Khaled not the genius he thinks he is…
chill, I like Wild Thoughts
Lol. Definitely wasn’t “ANOTHER ONE!” 🤣
WE DA BEST 😂! DJ Khaled somehow parlayed his minimal talent into stardom and generational wealth. Gotta respect it tbh
Hey man…gotta respect the hustle. Hahahaha
You’re a passive aggressive bitch, quite frankly.
You implied he’s a racist and then played the whole, “I’m above it, have a nice day” routine. Very feminine.
“yeah? and you’re ugly” – Ace Ventura
I swear, if I have to pull this car over, none of you are getting any dessert.
No its OK, we all were hoping he’d jump in with his opinion hours after everything was squashed and we’d moved on. How else would he get out his daily dose of sexism.
CornHub??
If its baklava or flan, I’m out!
Bet he doesn’t know I have dual citizenship… which can only mean I am immigrant or come from immigrant(s). Just another day for this a Halo Honk.
Sorry man, I’m an addict, I’ll be watching and not paying for any mlb subscription
If you can watch without paying then that’s perfect!
I suspect I am gonna watch a lot of other teams and listen to the Angels on the radionet a lot.
Agree. Baseball on the radio walks are fun.
listening on the radio is contributing to Arte
Not if I don’t buy any Bedrosian building products or what ever. Orange Bald Man insurance… what ever sad sack sponsors we have…. the suicide prevention website….
Terry and Mark are great. Terry reminds me of a Summer in NJ and Phillies games with Harry Kalas. Langston has really grown into a good broadcaster, and if life was fair, would be the pitcher doing the TV color.
Go find an old table top tube radio that has been restored. Or restore one youeself. There’s nothing like the warmth and richness of 1900’s technology on a Summer night with Angels baseball.
To my ears, Langston is a very good analyst and a pleasure to listen to. Much better than the TV version, Gubi.
I feel you, but I’m too bitch-made… Arte’s got me under his Svengali spell — a real BDSM kind of spell. The pain kinda feels good now. Don’t even know if I’d like a competitive team.
Seriously though, how many more years does Arte have left? He’s an old cu*t.
😂😂😂
For a guy/gal so enraged at the owner (and its been years), you sure spend a ton of time on this site and discussing the team moves
Some might say it’s almost like being enraged at the system yet living in a multi million dollar gated mansion 😬
Well – I love the team so there is that. But this site is free (actually $1 per month for me) and none of it goes to Arte so there is that as well. And mostly, I enjoy the discussion and hopefully infusing some reality based thought to a fan site for the team I have rooted for for going on 56 years.
thanks for your sponsorship. That’s what keeps this place afloat.
I’m always happy to hear what you have to say, even if it doesn’t appear that way at times.
Thanks. Believe me, I look forward to the days where my more optimistic side can realistically come out.
Id also like to respond to you (Fungo) that I am not “enraged”. This is baseball not world peace or racism or anything really important. I am frustrated by this Org for sure. But I save my enragement for things that matter.
Maybe if we all hold our breath til we turn blue, Arte will sell.
Or jump up and down a few times, then fall to the ground in the parking lot, screaming and wailing.
It could happen!
