Ranked 18th in Saves is Gregory Soto and Yoendrys Gomez with 13. 17 pitchers have more saves. However the entire bullpen for the Angels this year has 13.
Of course you have to be ahead to get a save.

They also scout Southern California more than anyone. Can’t go to a UCI game without a Brewers guy there. Angels for some reason, this is our backyard but we scout in the southeast. Like holy shit that is so f’ed up when you think about it.

They were talking on the radio broadcast as the game was starting how much Moz and team admire the Brewers, and how they want to modify the roster and approach to emphasize their approach. Hit first, better defense, “good ballplayers” – not necessary big power / big strikeout types.
Can definitely see that emphasis in this year’s draft.

I mean I really don’t know what to think about Soler anymore. He’s a DH that’s hitting 4th with an OBP of 293 and a SLG of under 400. Like what is the thought process there? He’s not under contract next year. Tomorrow is f’ing August. And just trade Adell for anyone, I promise you I will not complain at all about the haul back because he is worthless.
