Oh my gosh, I just got out of email verification jail where I’ve been since the end of July. Somehow I was freed by Jessica and and I don’t think either one of us knows how it happened. I’m just really glad to be back. I lurked since Stirrups had his own site and it never bothered me that I couldn’t or didn’t respond, but the last month, I’ve been going through serious withdrawals not being able to comment. Any way, good to hook back up with the rest of you I really missed the interactions.
Not sure if it was mentioned on the broadcast, but that’s five quality starts in a row for Koch. First time an Angels rookie has done that since Heaney, I believe.
oh me too! And if we win in the process that’s great. We’re gonna get screwed in the lottery anyway, I do believe, but I expect we’ll have the third best odds and pick 6th while Boston and maybe St. Louis jump up past us.
I did a quick stat study of the mlb draft. With 6!!! teams chosen it gives teams with good records a great shot at the top, like Cleveland this year. Our odds of #1 are (according to tankathon) 18%. The odds that a team lower than us will get #1 are 37%. It could be any team 4 through 18. And if it’s one of the longshots it means our odds don’t really improve for #2 either since very few pingpong ball combinations would be removed.
Dreary for the last out.

Which site is Stirrups’? Feel like I haven’t seen that guy in forever.
It doesn’t exist anymore, and I forgot what he called it.
’twas but a dream
The eternal and undying David Robertson.
This freaking ump never gives us any corner calls.
Why Can’t LeBlanc LeBunt?

It was.
And he’s done that with a K/9 of 2.79, lol.
Needless to say, that’s the lowest K rate of any starting pitcher in baseball.
Strikeouts are fascist.
Koch is a Black Hand anarchist then. I think the molotov self-immolation must be coming soon enough.
Unless he can spin “sinking fast” into an improbable career.
When was the last time an Angel rookie pitcher had 5 quality starts in a season?
Think it was Heaney in 2015.
Sequential quality starts, that is.
can’t say I’m thrilled with LeBlanc up here. Maybe he’ll surprise me
nope
LeClerc is a choker. Let’s go.
But is LeBlanc a bigger LeChoke?
Jack has really rebounded to pitch a nice game.
yeah, last 5 innings, no runs, 3 hits
This ump is giving Texas the calls we’re not getting.
Excellent DP!
we could win this game.
Is that our goal?
almost doesn’t matter now. We’re kind of locked into the 3rd best odds.
I’m about giving the kids a chance to play who have earned it.

The way Minasian drafts, he usually moves down in order to save money.

So what you’re saying is we really need to suck for another year?
I believe next year will look a lot like this year with no significant changes to the roster. I could be surprised though.
The pitcher didn’t cover first. Great work on the fundamentals, Washington.
It appears the Jim Wolf has called for a squeeze play against the Angels. No, he’s not the Rangers manager; he’s the home plate ump.
This ump is squeezing our pitcher.
Maybe it hurts when he is required to raise that tree trunk right arm to call a strike.
Torii wasting his time giving advice to a guy who should not even be on the active roster.
Drury?
Jack Lopez.
Brrrrt
Our starting pitching needed a stark reminder that sustained success is not allowed. It is a rule.
Special K is getting slapped around thus far.
Yeah, looks more like Capt. Crunch.
1st inning blues
Go Halos!
Ballgame
did you just get here and see the score? 😀
Yeah. 🤣
