yea I mean if your plan is competing you have to at least fill out your roster with guys that are at least replacement level otherwise, who cares how good your best players are if they are being weighed down by people that should never be playing. This is where during the offseason Perry should have seen which teams had a roster crunch and traded for some AAAA guys with at least some feasibility of being rosterable instead of signing guys that are so f’ing bad it gives us all migraines.

It’s so pathetic the Angels play people that should NEVER be playing on any team at anytime, especially leadoff. How do you plan on competing and then a few injuries in and you are playing Gosselin and Sierra? I know Adell ain’t great, but he is young enough to at least be something. Sierra NEVER will be. Rojas might turn it around and be serviceable. Play him over these complete pieces of turd.

The Angels are reportedly at least listening to other teams’ offers for Ohtani, even if Anaheim’s asking price is said to be huge, and a trade seems quite unlikely. Morosi’s specific phrasing implies that the Angels weren’t willing to truly “engage” with the Dodgers in talks, which perhaps isn’t surprising — as Morosi notes, “many in the industry are skeptical that Ohtani would be dealt to the Angels’ geographic rival.”
