I dunno, we complain about the bottom of our lineup (which is like hitters 4-9 when stassi or wade are the clean up hitters) when they don’t produce, and they have been today. It is frustrating we cant string together our consistent good players (ward, trout, Ohtani) with any contributions from the bottom, with a quality start and efficient bullpen. One of those 4 seems to fail every game 👎🏻👎🏻
Correct, it does not. The reason I picked on Stefanic is that he failed in two very important situational AB’s, and the one yesterday very likely cost us that game. So, while I still do think Stefanic is a good hitter, or at least is promising, the approach in those situations has not been good.
Ward in contrast has been excellent with RISP most of the season.
the four guys Perry picked up from the Yanks are Wade, Squid, Peguero, and Junk. As I contemplate that it makes me think Perry should not be involved in any trade talks for Trout or Ohtani. Or Lorenzen or Thor.
I’ve been saying this for a while now. If you’re even going to consider trading Trout or Ohtani then you better have another GM besides Perry and probably another owner besides Arte.
This isn’t just a Perry issue. Most teams have an advanced scout that solely watched another club and helps the GM make roster decisions. Do you really think Arte is paying advanced scouts their going rate, getting the best ones and helping his GM so he personally doesn’t have to try scout literally thousands of players. FO is a team, and I know Perry is to blame, but IMO literally the best GM could come here and suck because he’s not surrounded by a supporting cast.
Arte did fire then all during COVID before any other owner, and I’m sure the ones we’ve retained, after seeing how Arte treats his scouts and not the best ones. Which scout worth anything would want to come and work for Arte who showed the world how much he values them?
What if he doesn’t have the resources given to him to hire the best people, or the best people avoid the Angels knowing they can work for a far superior owner to Arte, and not have their health benefits cut whenever the next pandemic comes?
Remember when the Angels traded a 1st round draft pick for money to get out from under the Cozart deal. That extra money has really hurt the Giants since then.
I’ve never really listened to this guy, but it seems to me I’d rather hear more of this and less of whatever O’Neal and Vasergian do instead. I guess I’m just hardcore, no matter how bad we are or how far behind we fall.

Ward just did nothing in a situational at-bat. I’d rather see somebody who could’ve done something there instead of Ward.
