Angels vs. Brewers Game 3 Gamethread

Sunday afternoon at the Big A. Very good chance I pick up cheapies on StubHub and mill around.

Trying to figure out how Miz fell to the 2nd round. Teams were trying to find excuses to pass on a starter who can throw 100+ 7 innings deep?

The guy that got me scratching my head was Jake deGrom. He was a 9th round selection. I remember when he made the jump in the Mets system after never being ranked higher than 10th in their system.

Better than the GM being canned?

They can’t touch Miz’s fastball whatsoever.

Future Angel Beckham Trout just “stole third base” between innings

If Urena can outduel Miz here, I think he’ll get some more buzz for ROY seeing as it’s a “Peacock game” with Matty V.

I think Neto looks just plain silly with his pants rolled up above his knees

Yep, definitely shouts “look at me, I’m cool.” A better manager would stop it

That’s a dumb assumption. No manager cares about their players socks or pants.

Well, ours sure doesn’t.

Nor should they. If it doesn’t the bother the club, don’t waste your energy on it either.

In our high school, our manager encouraged us to roll the pants up to show the umpire our knees for the strike zone. I realize ABS now could make that obsolete, but there is more than likely a baseball reason behind it than a fashion statement.

Really, dumb? Perhaps cool guy strikeout artist Neto can take the field in a speedo.

If we are making assumptions, I assume you would like that better?

Actually what I would like better is for Neto to move down to the bottom of the batting order to where his strikeouts and lousy obp would be more appropriate

That we can agree with tbh.

No more Wade on the bench. Find a spot for him, I don’t care where.

Hopefully Lowe and Soler get traded today

Are you kidding? He will be benched for the next 2 series. 😫

This isn’t how a role player should perform. He’s showing up the vets. Suzuki must be completely pissed, inasmuch as Suzuki can feel any emotion.

That’s on Kurt if he’s feeling some type of way.

Perry is gone and Moz said this is his team (until the end of the year.) It’s his choice alone to put the guy hitting almost .300 on the bench, and the guy hitting .200 in cleanup.

Not sure, since there’s some occasional deception in my delivery, but my comment should appear in /s font.

Nah I got it, I just can’t figure out the reasoning behind it from the manager.

Red Sox reporter rumoring Angels are asking for Arias in a Neto deal.

I like Moz shooting for the moon, but don’t think it happens and it makes sense that the Sox would try to pivot to Elly if both asks are similar.

If Arias isn’t available, I wouldn’t have a problem with something around Eyanson. Breslow is Preller-lite so he’ll throw around prospects to make it happen.

I think Arias is a perfect trade now/trade for the future swap. The Red Sox get 3 years of Neto Now for 6 years of Arias latter. The question for the Red Sox is does that put them over the hump. I believe Neto will excel in Boston and love the green monster.

Arias is being held out of the AAA game today, so there is that. For me, I hope there would be other pieces(s).

No Soler in the lineup. Maybe someone is willing to give up their 42nd best prospect today?

At least a guy who is on nobody’s top 40 prospect radar and will lead the league in home runs some day
