While Jo’s two solo shots are the headline, the other 4 of the Angels’ 6 runs today were cashed in by Peraza and Grissom, the two players Suzuki and Minasian feel are backup reserves to the regulars Moncada and Lowe.
This shouldn’t be a thing anymore. Even FO water carriers have to see what must be done at this point.
I liked that you said Suzuki AND Minasian. I have no inside intel but pretty sure Perry is in Kurt’s ear about playing time for certain players. I’m skeptical that Kurt could get away with benching Lowe so early in the season. He was Perry’s big trade acquisition other than the often injured arm they received for Ward.
Brandon Marsh 4-4 today, has moved up to 2nd in MLB BA. En fuego. Hitting .286 off of LHers, albeit a short sample size. Any chance Phllies want O’Hoppe back? I change my early grade on this trade.
Prior to today’s game, the Angels have a 5 – 2 record when they hit two or more home runs in a game. One of the two losses was during the opening season series at Houston when the bullpen imploded in the 11 – 9 loss. Prior to today’s game, the Angels had hit only 15 homers in past 20 games.
Prior to today’s game, the Angels had three of the top 25 batters in mlb strikeout percentages: #5 Neto, # 17 Soler #25 Trout. Those, sports fans are the Angels 1, 2 and 4 hitters in the line up. It makes the Angels the worst team in the mlb with the 1 through 4 hitters in k %.

I think if we ate Lowe’s contract – still nobody would pick him up. I can’t believe he has + value on Trade Values with his contract.

If my math is right, we are 9 and 23 in games not started by Soriano. That’s a .281 winning percentage. TRADE HIM NOW.
We won? Didn’t blow a 4/5 run lead for once? Time to slap the bass.

The reports of Soriano’s demise were greatly exaggerated. He’s an ACE.

Crazy stat on Marsh. Would never have guessed this.
interesting, certainly surprises me
Don’t forget – we got O’Hopeless in that trade.
So this was Minasian’s “good” trade. Hah.
Should have been fired for that trade on the spot.
Shelve Soriano until he is traded. Do it now. Put the word out – no injuries. Put it out there and let the bidding begin.
Bubble wrap his ass.
Ding Dong Johnson, Adell has rang again
Ok, so Soriano is still good. That’s my takeaway from this game. I hope this lead is large enough
Almost wasn’t. We all thought it was going tits up again with Vladito, didn’t we?
And exhale
This is no dream! This is really happening.
Poor Soriano. No luck on these close plays. Blowpen is in position to ruin it for him. I’d let him decide his own fate. Why not.

Soriano at 73 pitches thru 6.
Interesting what happens when Peraza & Grissom are allowed to play.
Go figure!
Its certainly addition by subtraction, by taking Moncada and Lowe from line up.
Grissom and Peraza should both be playing every day.
What will it take for bonehead Suzuki to figure that out.
Crazy that we are better with Peraza and Grissom playing. Who could have seen that coming?
We should win this one (yes Frosty, blame me if they choke it away lol).
Gonna log off and spend time with my mom
They had like 95 win percentage and I was like, naaaaaah. That 5% is huge with these flaccid bullpen.
Question for Peraza ; “where was that swing with the runner at 3rd and only 1 out?”
Peraza 💣! Bench him ASAP

Hey, we’re good at something!
Here comes the GIDP… prob on a 3-1 pitch, lol.
