The Angels took the first game of the series 2-1.
A win! YAY!
And I was there for it! Got myself another hat. Sadly, Angels Pride night continues to be the bare minimum.
Would be nice to get another 10 Ward pops by the AS Game to work up some trade competition. Anderson and Ward in separate deals. Go-Perry-Go.
Anderson could bring something for sure given how he has pitched this year and his relatively cheap deal. Would be great to get 2 decent prospects for him.
Anytime we establish a Major League player who is a solid contributor we have to be sure to trade them away to the competition. Better it be a team in our own division. Ward should be traded to the Astros and Anderson to the Rangers.
Of course we have to also trade Rengifo. Maybe send him to the Mariners. They need more offense. It would be good for them.
Next, we’ll have to trade O’Hoppe, then Neto and Schanuel. Let’s hope O’Hoppe hits a few more bombs before the All Star break so we can get one or two more unproven prospects for him !!!
Dude – Anderson generally sucks. We saw that last year. No one is talking about trading the young guys. It’s trading players that have value (fortunately) and who are short timers. Let’s get something for them. Learn from mistakes like not trading Ohtani. Who the F cares about this season?! It’s meaningless. Build the farm.
I am shocked that Estevez had that clean of an inning for the save.
His ERA is down to 4.50.
Oh yeah, keep building up that trading stock anderson. Appreciate it.
If they’re intending to move him, they should do so NOW. He can’t pitch any better than he is now.
Game ball Jo Adell!
Strickland with the Win!
What a time to get a lwin, while lately they choke against everyone else. Can’t believe Adell got that lucky double and did not strikeout. Im sure during the packed house Friday on Trout bobble head night they will get blasted as usual.
They always lose when it is a packed house at home. In fact, most teams do, even the good ones. For example, the Dodgers Ohtani Bobblehead night was the biggest crowd at Dodgers Stadium in YEARS. Perhaps ever. Of course they lost to the lowly Reds.
Man did I love that, go Reds. All those fools paying $$ for tix and fighting traffic. Maybe I can paint one of my Angels Ohtani bobble heads blue. Sell it to an idiot Dodger fan telling him it’s a rare alternate figure.
Reds are a great lowly team, got some shine
Just wrapped up a busy day so I wasn’t able to watch, follow or comment.
Observations from glancing at the box score:
I see that we “exploded” for 2 runs and 4 hits and somehow won a game.
Tyler Anderson remains our best starter. Hit your spots and pitch to contact.
Nice to see that Adell hit a double and didn’t K.
Rengifo 1-3, with a SB and run scored.
Calhoun with 2 knocks.
When does Trout return? This offense is terrible at the moment, but yaaay, we won.
Don’t watch tomorrow!
Whatever works.
We can still finish at 124-38. That would be a record!
Roughly a 2 hour 17 minute game. And a win at that.
I’ve got to stop being negative about the team. A win like this is tasty and can be savored
