As much as a think Phil is an idiot, I feel like he’s done a pretty good job managing the pitching tonight. It helps obviously having Moore and Estevez available, but I thought he pulled Canning and Moore at the right time. Agree with letting Estevez come back out for the 9th too.
Well, we do hit more hard-hit balls to fielders than anyone else. Some these hard hit balls will drop in. That shot by Neto I thought was a hit based on the sound.
Did you guys notice Loup had the names of his three kids (presumably) burned into the leather of one of the fingers of his glove? That was pretty sweet.
Question regarding the “reliever must pitch to 3 batters” rule:
If a guy comes in and there are 2 outs and he gets the first batter he faces out, does he have to pitch to 2 more batters the next inning or is it only 3 batters in the same inning?
If he comes in for one batter and gets the last out of that inning the manager does not have to bring him back. However, if he does bring him back for the next inning he has to face at least 2 batters in the new inning to meet the 3 batter minimum rule requirements.
. If a pitcher faces one batter to end an inning, he may be removed, but if he is brought back for a second inning, he must still face two more batters for a total of three.
Nice win!

Only if they win.
Tomorrow when we lose, he’ll be back to being an idiot and stormtroopers will dance and stuff
Totally agree. I was hoping to see Canning finish 6, but he was “ripe” at 5+ and 88 pitches.
I’m sure Phil will have ample opportunity to reaffirm his idiocy status tomorrow

Zach yet to get a free base thus far but is making contact, striking out at a 19% clip
Not bad at all for a rookie.
what do you mean? he has 6 free passes ( well they were free other than the pain)
I dont see if has taken a walk, right? I was just looking at his stats on MLB.com
HBP = 6

Sweet dad, lousy pitcher.
He was great for other teams.
trAdition
Those are the names of his real estate agent, therapist and mother
😂
Surprised he doesn’t have more than three kids with how much he loves scoring.
Hiyooooooo
What about Estevez’s delivery makes it look so disjointed?
Is he bouncing his glove off his front leg or something?
I think that leads to his control wobbles
No idea, let’s just hope he’s ready to miss some bats.
Spidey Sense tingling. Dark omen music playing and storm clouds on the horizon.
I’m returning my Spidey Sense watch. Cheap Amazon crap.

2
Huh? 2 more batters?
I believe he is no longer held to the rule because he finished the inning in which he started.
Yes, if he returns
Only needs to finish the inning.

Clear as mud, huh?
Nope. Gotcha. Thx
From the rule book:

What she said.
Moore is dealing, better than the Gas Can Gang.
Drury heating up is nice.
Estevez looking solid. Moore solid. Perry more bad than good this offseason
Gio, Drury, Renfroe, Moore & Estevez . Trading for O’Hoppe. Drafting the kid last year for our shortstop.
It aint all bad
Does Rendon look like Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite? If we vote for him will all our wildest dreams come true?
Not feeling that.
How much you wana make bet Loup can throw a baseball over them mountains..
😂
I see you’re drinking 1%. Is that ’cause you think you’re fat? ‘Cause you’re not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to.
Do these chickens have sharp talons?
Looks like a Liger to me.
With so many different players playing first base for the Angels so far this year, I wonder why Thaiss hasn’t had a turn yet.
Probably not best to give them any ideas….they’re watching us
They read our mail. Thaiss is not on the depth chart for 1B.
Ohtani is also overdue…
He stays that way.
Pirates are 16-8. 😯
Great to see. I hope they keep it up.
Sweet.
Where is Cishek when you need him.
Selling sea shells at the sea shore.
Boy oh boy was he awful.
Retired in Big Bear
I heard he froze his ass off this winter.
