We could not believe what we just saw in that fiasco of rundowns. We had my brother-in-law on with us and he is a huge Dodgers fan, I just got my b**ls busted big time. How can anyone call this a major league team?
Duggar, Stassi, Squid, 0 for 11, 10 Ks. It looks like the Angels struck out a lot this game but, with Adell’s whiff, that’s only 3 Ks other than the 3 players mentioned.
Season was lost when Angels went into the season on the cheap with MI. Wade/Velasquez/Duffy. Thanks Arte. At least Rengifo has stepped up. But man you have Trout and Ohtani on your team and then you are going to just throw out AAA guys in your lineup.
Pitching isn’t what’s wrong with this team. Their staff has a bright future. The bats though…. that’s what has killed them this year. Too many guys hovering around the mendoza line.

rundowns should be pretty f’ing simple. Get the ball to the lead base quickly. Run the runner back to the trailing base and make him commit to that base. Stassi just gave up the ball way to quick. He’s crap. Then he can’t hold on to the ball but Velasquez should have gone for a dp on that one hit to him because it got to him quick and France isn’t a burner. This team just isn’t prepared.
