Rengifo needs to be sent down. After watching his last AB, almost every pitch thrown to him was a hanging breaking ball down the middle, and he didn’t hit any of them. No major leaguer should miss 3-4 pitches directly down the middle in the same AB (unless they smoke a ball right at a defender).
It’s really uncanny. I’ve seen a lot of bad Angels teams over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team consistently play just well enough to lose this much. It’s one think to just stink on ice night after night, but this team has a real knack for shitting the bed on the mound when the offense delivers, and shitting the bed at the plate when the pitching shows up. Part of that is the complete lack of leadership, and the total lack of accountability for failing to produce. Jo Adell is the only guy who seems to get shit on for not being perfect.
This team is so terrible at moving runners over with less than 2 outs. TERRIBLE! Stassi’s inability to move the runner over was the ballgame! The bottom half of the lineup is a fkn joke

That’s just regular Trout. He’ll hit the occasional game winner if the game is tied late, but since 2014, he’s hit all of two homers that took the team from losing to winning after the seventh inning. He is not someone you can count on in that situation.
