At this point they’re probably not going to have any long winning streaks. Just need to start winning series again. If Trout and/or Ward are coming back I’d still rather have Adell as the 4th outfielder over Lagares. He just brings more upside with his bat and speed.

Mets were a below average team in 2021. In 2022 they’re one of the best. They’re clearly doing something right. Because the Angels are not….
Showalter established a professional approach on and off the field. He has brought stability to a franchise that could not get out of their way. Players are not that much different and Scherzer and DeGrom have not contributed a whole lot, Starling Marte as well.
So bottom line a better Mets owner, better GM, better manager. Better trades and acquisitions. Mets players on the field are defintely better because they’re winning games. What a difference a year makes..

Boils down to too much spent on 2 players Trout and Rendon. $680 Million dollars. Pitching and bullpen subpar. Holes everywhere. Beaten by better teams. Simple as that.
Besides almost botching a play by not calling on a ball hit to the outfield and making a serious baserunning gaffe which resulted in a run not being scored….yeah, I’d say he’s played fairly well. But in all fairness, he’s a better bat in the lineup than Wade. Wade needs to be DFA’d ASAP!
I don’t get the all the disappointment. They are a good team when healthy. At the moment, they are neither. Still the same team during the losing streak, just with Rendon. Until Trout comes back, there will be some struggles
Angels had a winning record when Trout was out last year. Tired of hearing the Mike Trout bullsh.t excuse. Other players need to step up and play better. Simple as that. Starting pitching and bullpen ain’t cuttin it..
The team has lost 15 of their last 16 games. We have fallen out of the playoff picture and continue to lose.
As you point out Trout and Ward are not playing, but by the time we have our main pieces all healthy, playing and clicking we will likely be hopelessly buried.
I mean don’t expect a 14 game winning streak to match the losing one. Ain’t gonna happen,
Most likely our playoff chances died when we blew that 6-2 8th inning lead on Sunday in Philadelphia.
It get that the losing streak was terrible, but what made you think that they would get better? Trout is out, the infield is batting around the Mendoza line, the bullpen is struggling. It’s visible. But we know all of this. At this point, you expect this type of play until the team finally healthy, which might not be for the rest of the season.
