Spared a beating today.
Nice. Can only be a good thing.
Still miss our lovable sad sacks today though.
Things can’t turn around if you’re sitting on your ass…

Does this count as a day off in soggy Joes mind?

Not at all. Joe undoubtedly is making the most of his day off by catching up reading about the wonderful benefits of Metamucil..

No joke, this may actually do us some good. The boys can all blow off some steam and go watch RENT and shit.

Just means they can get two losses tomorrow. OR, orrrrr… two wins tomorrow. Just need a Houston loss to go with it. Please let this streak stop.

A little rain to wash away the recent bad vibes.

Can the rain wash the bad vibes away from this site? Or would that require some industrial strength BleachBit?

I’m out and going to enjoy the rest of the day out in the gardens and have a Beerish or three. I’m glad for the rain in New York really.

On pre-Game they ask what in your favorite cowboy movie. Tough to answer, as there are so many good ones. Silverado, Tombstone, How the West was Won. In that order.

Unforgiven. That movies friggin awesome and has a lot more to it than just “behold, hero cowboy” as it gets into all the internal aspects of being a gunman back then. I also think The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was underrated even if it is little slow.

Ding Ding………both are f’ing great movies. Matter fact going to Q both of them up to watch the next time (soon and often) we shit the bed by the 2nd inning. Watch those instead of the Angels shit show… trAditon

One of the best sound tracks for Jesse James.

I know it’s of no interest at all to 9/10 of people, and that’s cool, but Ass Robert Ford Coward is probably the best shot western ever… I know The Revenant gets a ton of glory on that score but JJames beats it in my book. I’m not even much of a “film guy”, it was just my elective area in design school, but I got into it enough to realize some of what went into that film and it’s incredible the job they did.

Would be nice to get both of those games rained out tomorrow. Maybe the next time we have to face the Yankees we will be in better shape.

Rainouts today and tomorrow could yield a doubleheader in the Bronx on the 4th of July!

Yep. I have sworn never to attend another MFY game at the Big A. It’s not good for my blood pressure.

Hey guys and gals, I just noticed that we’re 27-23! That’s not bad at June 1!

I am just hoping for a good July through Sept. This team needs to grab one of the WC spots to end this misery of the past few seasons.

Just gotta break the skid. I understand that with the Blue Jays, Yankees, Mets and Doyers in a bunch we are gonna take some beatings for this stretch, but man we need to win SOME GAMES. July and August are less rough but we get plenty of Houston in July. If we can get through to mid-June without falling to far below .500, get our feet set and win a few, we’ll probably decide our season’s course in those July Houston series.
