Tayler Saucedo has been a more than adequate replacement for Brock Burke this season. Picked up from the Mariners and WHIP has been solid, limits the base on balls.

Saucedo isn’t a guy you can rely on for the future though. He’s 33 and on a 1 year contract. There is a very high chance he’s gone in free agency after this year.

True. Moving forward, you’re right, age is not on his side. Was only thinking of how well he replace Burke as our left hander. Recall Perry traded Burke, arguably our best reliever for Josh Lowe which had us scratching our head at the time. I can see one more season.

I think we are going to need a tell all book by someone in the know about how far behind the Angels have been in the technology/scouting game. I think it’s far greater than we know. I mean Dipoto flat out crashed out and left a well paying job because Scioscia and Pujols wanted nothing to do with technology.
