Who was the worst team today? Well the Mets did nothing in the first inning. Mike Trout singled and Jorge Soler homered for the second time in three at bats against Christian Scott. 2-0 Angels.
Nolan Schanuel then singled. Jo Adell struck out to end the inning

The Mets went three up three down. So did the Angels.
Inning 3
Urena gave up a walk but a double play made sure Urena has faced the minimum number of batters so far. Zach Neto was hit by a pitch and stole second base. We had our first strikeTrout of the game. Zach Neto stole third base and scored on a throwing error by the Mets catcher. 3-0 Angels.
Moncada contributed his second strikeout. Jorge Soler wasted the Angels last pitch challenge and then bounced out to end the inning.
Inning 4
Bo Bichette singled and Juan Soto walked. Brett Baty worked a two out walk to load the bases. Marcus Semien flied out to Adell to end the top of the fourth.
Whew! The Angels went three up three down for their part.
Inning 5
The Mets went three up three down to start this inning. The Angels answered by going down in order.
Inning 6
Walbert Urena took a 103 MPH shot off his knee from Bo Bichette. 103 to the knee! He left the game. Schiest! Who’s next in the depth chart? Brent Suter came in to pitch for the moment. Juan Soto also singled. Then Francisco Alvarez singled to drive in Bichette. 3-1 Angels. Brett Baty grounded out and Suter was replaced by Chase Silseth. Silseth served up something in Semien’s hot zone and the result was a tie game. We got our second strikeTrout to lead off teh Angels half of the inning. Moncada flied out to third. Jorge Soler grounded out.
Inning 7
Jose Fermin came in to pitch and he coughed up a homer to Ronny Mauricio to make it 4-3 Mets. Of course he did. He got out of the inning without giving up any more runs. The Angels went three up three down, including pinch hitter Oswald Peraza.
Inning 8
Nick Sandlin came in to replace Jose Fermin. Austin Slater singled but Francisco Alvarez grounded into a double play. Sandlin then walked Brett Baty. Baty was caught stealing to end the Mets half of the inning.
Vaughn Grissom came in to pinch hit for Travis d’Arnaud and struck out. So did Adam Frazier. Zach Neto mixede things up by grounding out.
Inning 9
Sandlin retired the Mets in order. Mike Trout struck out for his third time. So did Yoan Moncada. Jorge Soler grounded out to the shortstop. The Angels lose 4-3.
