2 of those were clearly SHOULD have won.

We can thank Romano and Suzuki for those !!

5 games they might win if Arte had just spent a bit more money this season like he has in the past, or if Perry didn’t give all the money he does have to guys that were good in 2022.

Frazier HAD to challenge that ! Huge difference between 0-1 vs 1-0.

Not being able to score off Marquez is why we lost, but holy shit Suzuki continues to mismanage the pen. He makes the wrong choice 100% of the time

Suzuki is habitually late to the mound. I think his years as a catcher are impairing his judgment .

Yes, agree here. Zef should have been pulled IMMEDIATELY after he walked the second guy… Instead he is left in to give up runs.

Why use someone else from the bullpen. It’s 4-1 going against mason miller. Might as well be 10-1. Leave him in now

Suzuki’s handling of the bullpen reminds me of every other bad manager we’ve recently had.

Maybe because the only managers that will work under Arte are ones that have no chance anywhere else. Never seen a FO guy completely leave the field as quick as Reagins did when he got fired. Took a job at MLB like the day after because he knew he was never getting another FO job unless it was bringing guys coffee. And Arte let him make decisions…..

And now you take him out

You can throw your best reliever when he only threw 11 pitches 3 days ago.

Not pitch totals here but situation… those guys are for holding and closing games you are leading late… With Miller in the 9th this is already over. You save those dudes for tomorrow…

Yep 100%. In a bullpen this thin you can’t burn your best guys if you don’t have a tie or a lead.

Here we go suzuki

Why is Sandlin in here? Bachman. Or Silseth. Or Pomeranz.

All available. Right? But 1.1 for Sandlin?

I don’t get Suzuki at all.

You wouldn’t use Bachman or Silseth when behind by a run. That would be wasting them.

Maybe Pomeranz down by 1 run though….

Sandlin, like most of our relievers, turned into a pumpkin after one inning.

This game is was close… Why are we only pitching the dregs of our bullpen when Soriano pitched almost 6 yesterday and Kik did the same today.

We used our best relievers with an 8 run lead and now we use the other guys in a one run game?

I don’t fault the Romano decision last night. That was a “safe” time to use him.

You sure as heck would not want to throw him into a save situation after what happened in New York…

btw, the fact he gave up the one double and no runs last night means nothing….pitching in an 8-0 game is NOTHING like the pressure of a save situation…. Romano has to prove himself in 6th or 7th inning of tie games if I am the manager..
