Heineman was pointing to first. Natera either didn’t hear or didn’t see him.

Natera didn’t have any problems getting to it, that’s a bad read by Heineman then.

I think the catcher saw that 3rd was not covered and to go to 1st.

then it’s on Peraza like I thought because he’s probably barely played 3rd in his life. Great SS and 2B

it’s really hard/rare to bunt it hard enough where you get it past the pitcher especially a fast one like Natera and it’s not hit hard enough for the 3B to come in once it’s clear it’s going to get past the pitcher and still get the out at 1st. Peraza needed to stay closer to third but first thing is Natera can’t come in and walk a guy on 4 pitches.

You play guys at positions they barely play that crap is going to happen.

Natera isn’t right, he is barely throwing his slider.

so you get ahead 0-2 and think you are going to throw a fastball by Jazz? Your slider is death to lefties.

Gubi is one of the best “Color Announcers” in all of MLB. He knows the game, he makes the PxP guys better and has some humor. I just do not like the one gibberish between him and the PxP announcer. It sounds like it is just a one on one inside humor between whoever Gubi is with. They need to stick to baseball only. They each do half of what a Scully or Enberg did and still sounds like little boys laughing, they should listen to tapes of successful announcers who did their homework in the club house before the games getting what was important instead of gibberish. imho, it’s called professionalism.

I’m not a fan just yet, 3 for 16.

There should be a ticking clock for whenever Taylor Saucedo is in that everyone in attendance gets $1 off admission for every minute he’s in

by that logic we should get $5 per minute for enduring Sammy Peralta and his 88mph heater

the amount of pitchers we have on this team that are barely hanging on to a major league bullpen job and fail to cover 1B like a little leaguer astounds me.

Really? How? Perry was our GM. Makes absolute sense to me.

Last I looked we’d used 34,pitchers this season

That is what Baseball Reference shows (34) to include 2 position players in blow outs.

Moore with extra base hits to drive in runs on back to back nights. Nice.

I like how it took a triple to score ballesteros from 1st

He actually moves fairly well for a big guy. He hustles.

I guess I need to remove my rose colored glasses but I don’t see GRod looking bad at all. Yes, all runs count but Jones hit one last night just like tonight. Solid home runs off anybody. Chisholm hit a pitch that was 4″ outside for 341 feet and it snuck in for the second home. And it took sloppy right field play followed by a mental mistake by Grissom to score 4th run.

at that point in the game I don’t think taking the double play is that bad of a decision. The expected run values are pretty close I’d think

At that time, I can’t argue, but what I meant to say was it took two flawed plays to get the 4th run.

Very very nice outing after a tough 1st. More positives than negatives for GRod

it’s even a quality start without Josh Lowe out there barely not getting to a ball

the 2027 FA market is really light but I think these are guys we should target.

Jake Bauers – local guy that can hit, not going to break the bank. Can DH for us, no noticeable platoon splits this year
Jeffers or Stephenson: We need a catcher, they are both actual major league catchers that are above average. Again they shouldn’t break the bank either
Adrian Morejon adds another legit lefty in the pen. Amazing stuff, going to be expensive though.
Jonathan Loaisiga – Should be pretty cheap but the dude gets righties out like crazy and as long as he’s used against mostly righties he could add some good value to our pen.

If Arraez isn’t crazy expensive I would consider him because his defense has improved. but i think like he’ll get way more than he’s worth.

Class move even if he gives up a homer. It says “GRod we trust you.”

A depleted Rodriguez is still better than a fresh Peralta.
