I think this year we need to evaluate pitchers but it is really hard to evaluate pitchers when their OF defense is so horrid. Adell below average RF, Trout below average CF, Soler playing the OF at times. They need to improve their OF defense by moving Trout to DH, releasing Soler, putting Siri or Teodosio in the OF vs lefties, maybe call up Rada against righties. When you watch good baseball teams, they play good defense. We have a bunch of guys in the OF that make our whole pitching staff worse.

yea Jo Adell has less than one combined WAR in 7 years with the Angels. If he isn’t gone at the trade deadline then just release him. He will never get paid what the Angels would pay him in arb.

They should be selling the fact the J Mo is the new interim GM and has put together a 100 day plan to turn things around. And that that it included a change in draft philosophy which was recently well executed. Talk about the new good stuff.

We really fucked up the #2 pick. With flattened draft lottery odds it’s harder to luck into a top 3 pick even with the worst record. We got lottery luck, had 2 elite prospects to choose from, and ya ….

Every draft expert shook there head at that pick. Minasian thought he was smarter than everyone. His years set us back so much. The fallout will last for years. It will be painful to watch Seth and Kade come up and star.

He is a very good defensive player and an excellent base runner. He hit over .300 in the spring and then was hurt for some time. It’s only been the last month that he’s started to get back in the groove. His walk rate has been excellent but he needs to cut down on the Ks.

Angels gave CMo even worse treatment than Brandon Wood. Did the same, sit a game, play a game, but they did that while also asking him to play a position he had no experience out. Then they sent him back to AAA so that Soler can play, Adell can play, Siri can play? Like CMo has a chance to be a useable bat. All of those guys will not be playing for the Angels when the Angels even have a remote chance of being good.
