I always said that Torii had leadership qualities….. aside from any strategic or in-game considerations as a manager he is without a doubt a leader of men. That is underappreciated, and in my view the most important part of the job ! If he just does reasonably well at the other stuff he could be an excellent manager !!

Lots of unknowns like is he receptive to analytics and what would his in-game decision making look like, but I agree with being a leader. I like RH’s idea of replacing Suzuki with Tori for the rest of the season

I don’t necessarily want Tori as manager, but, having him finish the season would give you an opportunity to see him with no risk. But they never think like that.
