Having a legitimate closer next year would definitely help.
Guzman’s SO% is at 13.3% which is better than anyone else on the team other than Grissom and Madrigal.
Small sample size but he is handling himself well. Need to work some walks though.
Soriano was the AL pitcher of the month in April, Urena with the lowest ERA for AL starters in May, and now Detmers in June
Yates is a great closer with a 7 run lead
This is the only situation he should be pitching in ! Or maybe down by 6 runs !
It is funny that Suzuki insists Yates is the closer and then pitches him in the 8th inning of a 7-0 game. Makes sense to me.
