You know what keeps Arte, Perry and Kurt believing that keeping payroll low, signing marginal talent, drafting meekly, and playing the worst combination of a starting nine is a viable strategy?
The Angels have the worst record in the AL and are only 3 games out of a playoff spot.

Vegas just jumped on the Ducks, from the get go, pretty much controlled the entire game. Just like the Montreal-Buffalo battle, one sided.
Ducks will reemerge strongly in Game 4 as they now have the urgency to avoid being down 3-1. Playoff hockey, the best.

Who I am to question 3x Stanley Cup winning coach Quennivelle, but I don’t understand his lineup choices. Why are we playing 4 4th liners against Vegas? It worked in game 3 when it came as an element of surprise, yesterday not so much.
To your point, playoff puck is about adjustments and now it’s our turn to adjust. Hope we see McTavish back in the lineup and maybe even Vatrano. Need depth scoring options against Vegas’ defense

Even if Okamoto was truly a target, would the guy have signed here though?! I mean, it’s a choice between the WS runner-up vs long-running division bottom-dweller. I don’t think it would have been a hard choice for Okamoto.
Yes, we fault for Perry for a lot of things, and accurately too. But signing FAs is a two-way street. And it’s a fact that there are players who don’t want to sign here. Because why would they want to?!

so it took my son 18 years to finally like baseball but he likes it now. Of course the Angels being horrible since he is old enough to remember and he has no desire to follow the Angels. Instead he loves Drake Baldwin. Can’t say I blame him. A friend of mine who is a Braves fan sent him a Baldwin jersey and now we are going to a Braves game in San Diego in June.
