He will be back. His OBP is .280 and that is very concerning but he did hit better the last two months or so and had 20 homers. He made himself into a good defensive outfielder so he can be a fourth outfielder if necessary. I really don’t think the Angels believe that they can contend next year so they will give Adell another year to get better.
He made great progress defensively. As a hitter, his OPS+ is nearly identical to what it has been every year for the last 4 years, 89, 78, 87, 88. He has been very consistently a 12% below average hitter. Hopefully next year he flips the switch.
I believe the position player roster and line up will be almost identical to this year. Because as you said they likely won’t be contenders, next year will be an additional opportunity for the same youngsters to prove they belong. Since 2026 is Perry’s walk year, next year will be another year of discovery and development, and then I think you’ll see an effort to try to compete in 2026.
I want him back. I see his growth. Plus it’s not like we’ve got anybody nipping at his heels in the organization. The one I’m wondering about is Moniak who doesn’t have Adell’s ceiling. But the same argument applies to him.
Sure – for the team. But for little Dana it’s sad how he went from the highest high to the lowest low in consecutive starts. Reminds me of Ervin Santana’s first two starts but in reverse order.
my jolly mood sank because of that last pitch to LeBlanc
Amazing that this rando bullpen, largely assembled in the past month, has not surrendered a hit in six innings.
It really does show that the best pens can come together out of waiver claims and minor league free agents.
box score watching.
Zeferjahn 👀
LeChoke coming in. Do it!
Yeah, LeClerc is garbage
It looks like we have a LeChoke too
That’s not something you see every day.
WTF is the roof open? The shadows are ridiculous
Nice catch, Ward.
HOME RUN – CHARLES LEBLANC
***BELATED***
Just out of curiosity, do we dump Adell this offseason? Wash says he “made tremendous progress” but that was from .207 to .277 BA. Opinions?

Heaney still has plenty of Halo stank on him so we might just have a chance
I believe!!!!
Well, I don’t really. But that happened!
I’m at this game and Charles LeBlanc just made it worth being here
Second and third nobody out and we have our #3 hitter up!!!
Maybe…you never know
LOL, I walked away to check my irrigation water and came back to a three run homer.
LeBlanc now has the highest OPS on the team
Would not want it any other way, LeHAMMER
No perfect game, at least
perfect game is over
Ok, I appreciate the tank more than most but Jack Lopez is insulting.
Could bring back the guy who married the chick from High School Musical
It’s a short 18-hour drive from Arlington to Salt Lake. Perry needs to have the bus ready.
The bus is near capacity, only 4 seats left to accommodate Stefanic, Lopez, Adams, Teodosio, LeBlanc…who stays?
Bus left this morning with Merderos on it but I’m sure there were a lot of open seats
Steohanic
As the Plumber, he can fix many things
Jack Lopez to most of the Angels: “hello, fellow kids”
Ryan Geoff Zahn
The thrill of victory… and the agony of defeat
The inevitability of defeat?
