The Royals are having a surprisingly good year. The Angels are playing 162 spring training games.
Our crew showed heart and fight but came up a bit short. After falling behind 5-0, the Halos scored 3 runs across the 7th and 8th innings and brough the tying run to the plate in the 9th but ran out of steam.
5-3 Royals. One highlight again was Logan O’Hoppe who had 2 hits on the night.
Another high spot for the Angels was Zach Neto, who has been crushing the ball lately.
And I’m really liking what I’m seeing from Jo Adell right now. He had one hit, but plated two runs.
So the team takes another loss but the future core is starting to emerge. I’ll take it.
A’s are now a full game ahead of us; we have the next to worst record in the AL, but my gawd: we have 23 more wins than the lowly Chisox.
If we’d have drafted and kept Bobby Witt he probably would’ve contracted some rare disease by now and been forced to retire by age 25.
Now we’re really in last. I’m gonna go back and what Perry and we said in march
Of course this was going to be the year Trout played
Lugo chopped them up, great signing by the Royals
The only thing I’m paying attention to is hoping Drurys batting average drops below .100 for the year.
Quite the accomplishment for a guy who shouldn’t be a near everyday player unless you’re an Angel. They seemingly have nothing better anywhere in their system.
Rally?
They are surprisingly good. We are unsurprisingly bad.
