I can hear fireworks of all types being lit around my neighborhood right now but the Angels lacked any spark tonight. If they tried to light up the offense, it was a dud.
Davis Daniel didn’t repeat his Cy Rookie outing of last week, but he wasn’t helped by his defense much either. Then again, defense doesn’t matter when you serve up home runs.
That was the second home run he surrendered but when your offense puts up a zero, one is too many.
It was Joey Estes putting up the Greg Maddux performance tonight. A complete game on only 91 pitches. The Angels only left 4 men on base all night.
That winning streak last week was fun. But it was an illusion.
Schanuel & Ward are both batting .239.
Double Sigh.
Just read that Rendon is likely to return on or around July 8th, whereas Trout is listed as “possibly midseason”. He’s already beyond the typical 4-6 time range and he’s only progressed to treadmill running & hitting off a tee.
Sigh.
astonishingly I find I hate the Mariners more than the Trashstros. Seattle’s lead is down to 2 games as that team finds the kind of schedule we started off against.
But with 6 head to head encounters against our arch rivals to north in the next 3 weeks I’m sure they’re shivering their timbers.
The thing is, the Mariners are not that good. They built their lead with a 3 week stretch against Washington, houston(when the Astros were struggling), Oakland, us, the Rockies and the White Sox. Other than those games they’re about 5 games under .500. It’s as much of a mirage as our recent streak was
I just wish we played them with a healthy MNT
The Mermen have always been his bitches.
If only we had Adam Cimber…..
Your opinion is shared……it feels great, doesn’t it? 😀
Fresh off the Sea World fan page.
Some guy…..
I wasn’t aware today’s game had started already
Some other guy.
Does it matter when it starts if we already know it’s over?
Emilio news…

Only a meager $2-3M to absorb, I’d be very cautious on how he is used until he waves goodbye.
Today’s Lineup’s

MLB Draft is 10-days and 42-minutes away. Need to nail this sucker.
I hope turks is doing a write up 🤘 I also miss suboptimal, if you’re here I apologize, no idea what your username is.
With 2 “extra” draft picks fora change and a recording Signing pool there’s no excuses for drafting both multiple accomplished collegiate players and at a least a couple of projectable high school arms.
We had a bad night. They played like they were jet lagged the last two games. I almost fell asleep watching. I heard a few of our guys are fighting a cold, or another round of abdominal infections. No debating that both of these losses came as a surprise. With Rengifo likely injured, it’s good thing we have Rendon as a replacement candidate at 3rd.
Hmmmmmmm…sounds familiar.
First half MVP’S Shohei and Judge so far.
Who?
Happy 4th of July my friends, hope you enjoy the whole day and evening. 🎉 ☀ 👓 🍨 🍔 🌭 💥 🏄 🚀 🍉 🔔 🎆 ⛳ ⛱ Stay safe and enjoy!
SELL SELL SELL !!!
I’m not sure which at-bat bugged me most. It might have been Neto swinging at the first pitch after a walk and grounding into. DP or it might have been Moniak following that by swinging at the first pitch for the 3rd out or it might have been in the 9th when Schanuel swung at the first pitch following a hit.
Apparently there is no one involved with the team who understands that first pitch swinging leads to the opposing pitcher going deep into the game and also means you remove one of the most important ways to get on base, namely via a walk.
I seriously think if you mentioned it to Washington or any of the players they’d either give a blank look or else defend their 1st pitch swinging by saying they could jump on it…even though they got shut out and, in fact, did NOT jump on it
You are so right about first-pitch swinging. Occasionally swinging at the first pitch is a good strategy to keep the pitcher honest. But doing it incessantly is downright stupid.
These are mental errors. More bad coaching, or are they just uncoachable terrible players?
I would guess that since they were all swinging first pitch, it was a game plan created by the coaching.
Agree. And they executed it poorly.
I hope our best player is gonna be ok.
We love you Luis! Get well buddy.
Your first line about sums up the prospects of any winning season for a while.
He needs to be back to full strength before the trade deadline.
No reason to play him while even slightly injured and have his numbers drop
Trout?
