Facebook considers me “CharlesSutton.125.” Say CtPG in your friend request. We’ll get you through the weekend with a nice full belly. Nobody here has to know! If you have no way to cook, tell me in our messages. I’ll bring a way to cook the stuff. I won’t have a turkey, frankly. If Ralphs is open tomorrow morning, I can buy one of those roasted chickens they have if they have them out that early. I have a coupon. I have frozen steaks, frozen fish fillets, Trader Joe’s carnitas, condiments, rice, rice noodles, marinara sauce (various etc.), corn tortillas, cheese, corn meal, grits, rice panko, canned veggies, fresh veggies, apples, instant milk, instant mashed potatoes, etc. I can bring some water if you don’t have that.
I admit it. I have food because I have felt food insecurity myself and we live in earthquake central. Talk to me about what you need. It won’t leave my room, or at least with your consent only to the members of the editorial board who are also willing to help. No bread, unfortunately, because I have celiac disease. (BYObread). I don’t have any eggs at the moment. I have corn husks, but I’m not entirely sure I have masa and I don’t currently have a proper steaming cauldron. (canned veggies include but not limited to: peas, beans, greens, artichokes, hearts of palm, pickled peppers (various), spinach, pumpkin, giardiniera, pickled onions, pimientos).
Members/families please except in extraordinary situations. I’m just a hoarder, not a nonprofit NGO. There are limits in other words.

Patrick Murphy went to the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. No, they apparently don’t fight against ham, nor are they fighters who are made out of ham. Put your Romper Stompers on because Chadwick Tromp got himself a minor league deal. Eugenio Suarez got a job with the Diamondbacks. This may already have been reported. Not sure.

Eugenio Suarez went from the Mariners to the Diamondbacks. I guess Urias gets that job.

Happy Turkapalooza to all of you out there in the Halosphere! I’m home with the houndette and the microcat. Coming off a case of covid, and I just feel too crappy to visit the fam. Come to think of it, coughing like a tubercular walrus really doesn’t cheer up the dinner table.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I will be deep frying the turkey tomorrow, as that is when my wife’s side of the family can all get together. Meanwhile I will be doing handyman work. Hopefully this year I can get enough time to do a IIWP piece. It will have a Talking Heads theme.
I’m Thankful the Angels didn’t lose today.

Agreed. But the coaching and instructional staff was also under constant turmoil under Billy too. Maybe Arte only meddles every other year?
I do think Perry has more of a concrete plan on the amatuer drafting and international signings. Now if they can only get their minor league development shit together maybe we can finally see some organizational consistency, (This may have something to do with the recent coaching hires) we might be back to legitimacy.
I’m thankful I still have a Los Angeles Angels team to root for, instead of Los Vegas or Portland Angels.

I was jobless, directionless, and bored when we started this website. Having graduated with my Bachelors in the Spring of 2019, I had a hard time finding a job. With still nothing in the fall, I applied to HH out of desperation for something as I was spending too much time there anyway arguing that I could do better.
Well, for some reason, Jessica accepted and I was almost immediately fired along with everyone else when Vox was cheap and I was invited to join in with Crashing the Pearly Gates.
It isn’t about the money, there is very little in this, it was about keeping myself sane. But, years later, I finally have another job, and was able to use my time here as proof I wasn’t completely wasting my time the last few years,
If Jessica didn’t accept me, if we just gave up after Vox screwed us over, if the community did not follow or dispersed, I don’t think I would have made it to today.
So thank you, Crashing the Pearly Gates, honestly.
We are so happy that you are here for sure, I for one and many others will agree with me that we love your work, and it is huge plus that you love being here. Also, glad you are getting so rich being here. 😂
Ditto and ditto. I have previously expressed my gratitude for CtPGers, editors and all posters. If it weren’t for you guys, I do not know if I would look forward to next year. Because of you, I decided to renew my expired driver’s license, car registration, passport, and get a haircut, take a shower everyday. Now, I am clean smelling and feel like I can face the world.
Regardless of where Shohei ends up, I would like to visit Anaheim and personally thank many of you next season.
Very thankful for this group of halo fans. I’ve always thought that that if I won mega lotto back in 2001 and bought the team, I would hire about a dozen of you to run it. Glad to share halo misery with a great community.
