Angels Make Good Party Guests Postgame

It was a packed house at Target Field. Champagne on ice. Friday night. Oh, yeah, the Twins and their fans were ready to party.

The Angels read the room and gave the Land of Prince crowd just what they wanted: a division title party.

There were some highlights for the Angels, though. Just something to entertain the crowd while they waited for their magic number to hit zero.

First, an absolute bomb by Walsh:

And the rookie on base machine continued to get on base, this time with an RBI hit to tie the game.

I’m going to publicly state it. Logan O’Hoppe is my favorite non-Trout or Ohtani player on the Angels. Which makes him my favorite active player. He hit a three run bomb to get the Angels to an 8-5 deficit in the 8th.

Our halos made the party hosts wait a bit, though. Scoring a run in the 9th to cut the lead to 8-6 and bringing the winning run to the plate. A pop up by Shanuel brought the second out of the inning.

The Twins crowd rose in anticipation. They had to wait some more. Neto worked a walk. Bases loaded, two outs, Brandon Drury at the plate. He bounced out to second to end the game.

Congratulations to the 2023 AL Central Champion Twins!

It was a cliffhanger, but there’s an official announcement Rendon won’t play again for the Angels this year

But I’m sure Trout will play? Right? 😀😀😀😀

What’s the time frames again for his wrist injury? Normally how long this….normally how long that….what the Angels do vs. every other team does…🤡🤡🤡🤡

Maybe someone from CTPG should email the Angels front office (HA! Like someone is in the FO) and inform them about the ROY issue for next year.

I’m sure Phillip is busy with his resume (along with all the coaches) on Indeed.com for next years employment………probably doesn’t know.

You would think Evil Arte would already know this since there’s a bonus pool that teams pay into that can then be used to subsidize early ROY candidates and non arbitration eligible players salaries.

Free Nolan. I mean at least make him free for next year.

We could see Walsh playing 1B?

Tough with his on-base streak though …

I guess the “Tank Commander” Diaz was a little too much, too obvious of a TankityTankTankTanker for this team Tank. Even Dia-Barria is better than him.

Wow…I sure hope Jhonathany is not part of the rotational crap shuttled between Anaheim and SL in 2024.

I don’t get the player movement. Right after a guy gets slammed, he is demoted for a guy who was sent down because he got slammed.

I guess its a lot like bowl movement

Car club event…probably miss all but the very end of todays game.

Should be tuning in just in time to see our latest Tank Commander.

Even if we are in ‘tank’ mode (and doing well with that), I feel encouraged. Without any of our stars (Trout, Ohtani) or even solid starting pitching, we are hanging in to games with the best teams in the league. How often can one say a tanking team is only steps away?

If the Twins get swept in the postseason, would this be worse then?

Fansince1971

I can answer that based on 2014.

Winning 98 games and then being swept in the first round by KC was its own kind of body blow.

But the 21014 season was an absolute blast. So this current situation is way worse in my mind than making the playoffs and getting swept in the first round.

KC that year had a heck of a bullpen. Starter goes 6 and you had a gauntlet of fireballers to try and stage a comeback. Angels were throttled big time.

Their starters were mediocre but their defense was elite . I lost count how many “almost hits” we had that series.

Mets have to play the Phillies 5 more times and the Marlins for 3 games. Tough schedule. Angels need at least a 2-game lead going into the final series against Coakland.

Tonight’s Tank Commander: Daniel Davis….or Davis Daniel. Who cares.

This warm jug of Carlo Rossi wine is for you. Drink responsibly and keep on grooving that weak shit down the middle!

Yes. Diaz deserving of that honor, well deserved. He’s so deserving he needs to go an extra inning or 2 his next time out. That ended up being close.

Free Diaz from himself…..awful and embarrassing. And we Tank you.

The one team that is a bigger disappointment than the Angels is the Mets. How ironic.
