The leash is short on many of these players and understandably so. The next 2 months are, and this is not hyperbole, critical.
If the Angels are a legit playoff contender, I suspect they’ll go for it and trade for some veteran upgrades for a stretch run.
If they’re not legit, they probably need to trade Ohtani.
The gulf between these two paths is massive.

Earth to ump: first baseman must actually catch the ball for the runner to be out as you called.
