I don’t think Nevin or Perry will have any issue at all with pulling Suarez.

If Canning looks solid tomorrow (or is it Thursday?) Suarez might get one more start at most – if this continues, yada disclaimer yada.

Looking forward to the post game thread so we can talk about the problem that is Jose Saurez, but other than that, encouraging game.

Herget redeemed himself big time tonight .

We have 2 weak links on the staff right now. This could work.

Yep, I still like Herget over the course of the season because his stuff is a bit unique and it’s not predicated on velo.

The flush, i.e., demotion to long relief or the classic, “shoulder tightness” seems near….

If the Angels would drop Fletcher, there’s no doubt they’d drop Suarez

The leash is short on many of these players and understandably so. The next 2 months are, and this is not hyperbole, critical.

If the Angels are a legit playoff contender, I suspect they’ll go for it and trade for some veteran upgrades for a stretch run.

If they’re not legit, they probably need to trade Ohtani.

The gulf between these two paths is massive.

Is that 3 garbage outings for him so far?

Let’s just bask in the win for today, cuz I dunno if Nevin will get the ok to sit his ass. It’s just gonna angry up the blood.

Disagree. young left-handers that dont make that much would be gone in 60 seconds on the waiver wire. Noway the DFA him. Trade him or phantom injury? that maybe a real possibility.

Quesadilla didn’t F’ around. He attacked the 7-9 hitters exactly as the situation required.

Good observation. He strikes me as guy whose better suited to “see sign, throw ball” than he is at thinking thru it. Haha

Very nice win. Got some clutch hits and productive outs and some great innings from the pen. Light that baby up!

Nevin won’t warm anyone up regardless of results so hope you’re good Quijada

ok, bottom of the order. Get them out. Do not let Judge bat as any kind of tying run or something like that.

First base ump got excited and signaled out before seeing if Rizzo caught the ball

Earth to ump: first baseman must actually catch the ball for the runner to be out as you called.
