Pitch was in the dirt. Stassi fumbled it and it then hit the batters foot. Francona wanted it called a hit batter.
it doesn’t work that way, never has
It’s a long story. Francona came out and argued for a long time about a ball that didn’t hit his batters in the foot, finally getting thrown out . Then Tepera asked for a few warm up pitches and didn’t get them and Nevin got thrown out.
In a way it was but once again we got the short end of the stick.
