Trout is struggling because more than ever, he feels the pressure to carry this team, he’s simply trying to hard. He’s realizing that the post season solely depends on him at this point and this was the closest he’s been in since 2014.

He was a great player but he doesn’t handle pressure very well.

Trout is dogshit when the games start to matter. Since 2014 he has hit 260 homers. Only two of them have put the team ahead after the 7th inning. That’s kind of nuts. I don’t think his terrible performance in the 2014 playoffs was an abberation.

Do I need to remind you that all Trout has done is hit HRs in the playoffs?

He’s one for one! If you don’t count all the outs.

The nice thing is that everyone will get a good night’s sleep because no one on this team cares about losing. As long as the checks clear.

You read my mind on that one.

GA said it. 2 first pitch outs in the 9th. No attempt to work the count.

Was just going to post this. GA is right, no attempt to work the count that inning on a pitcher that’s already thrown 90+ pitches. You do what you can to work up the count and hope you get him or get him out of the game.

Does anyone get a talking to about it in the clubhouse? Does anyone get benched or sent down? I guess not.

If this had been happening to the Yankees, Dodgers or Red Sox there would be immediate firings and guys getting sent down. This team waits until they are completely out of a playoff picture and then decide maybe they should make a move.

That is when a front office should know it is time to make some major changes.

Why are we keeping this hitting coach? I think he has been around since Brad Ausmus. Time to move on.

Exactly. Time for him to go….time for the entire coaching staff to go.

Hitting coach? Hell, the whole coaching staff should be packing their bags!

Yes, and I do believe it will be a whole new coaching staff soon if this keeps up.

3 lousy fucking hits!! One after the first inning. Oh well, this is your 2022 Angels.

The lineup looks worse (even on paper) than it did last year and the year before. How is it possible that I say this every year?

Terrible ownership, terrible GM, terrible minor league system.

It all starts with Moreno. This guy has created so many off the field problems for this team. It is an embarrassment to Angel fans everywhere. Plus he puts all of his buddies in to run the team who have little to no experience. I am just fed up with him.

And the one after the first inning may not have even been a hit.

His contract expires at the end of this season. Doubt seriously he will resign..

No he is signed through 2023. The way he is playing right now I would rather trade him in the off season and get some decent players in return.

Indeed. Angels wouldnt be able to afford him anyway and he will undoubtedly demand a record salary..

This team is beyond repairable at this point. Might as well lose 90 or 95 games this year. They just have no heart.

in my opinion…..we gave them the game by not working the count, starting in the 1st inning and going all the way through to the end, allowing Wacha to pitch the complete game.

Man, Fletch is sorely missed. He always found a way to get on base when desperately needed.

Wish that Fletch had shown up this season. He was really bad with a ton of fly balls that were weakly hit. One of the lowest hard hit rates in mlb.

Lifelong Angels fan and I’ve learned this: Bad teams find ways to lose and good ones make their own luck. This team will likely get the loss due to a poor cut off throw/cutoff position.

Errr, we would need to score Å run in order to win.
