Former Angels slugger, Albert Pujols is apparently divorcing his wife. This is pretty shocking news for the couple who seemed so close and run a charity together. Pujols announced the news through his agent.
Perhaps even more shocking given his wife’s recent health battles.
In the end, only Albert and Deidre knows what is happening here but pretty shocking news and timing, nonetheless.

I don’t know about St Louis’ divorce rules (Missouri) but in California she and the kids would get a bundle. Somehow this just fits him, the timing just makes no sense to us. It isn’t random or for no reason. Followers of Christ’s teachings reject divorce except for in the case of adultery. So to hear that Albert—who is well known for his faith—is divorcing his wife of 22 years immediately raises questions with those who know what he professes to believe.
So he is worrying about getting a retirement tour when his wife has a tumor and he is divorcing her? If that we were me I would drop baseball immediately and work on my relationship with my wife and my family. Prayers up.

How do we know it was Albert’s choice? I’m not here to defend him, but it would not be the first time I have heard of a marriage falling apart after one person is suddenly home all the time after years of part time being home.
I’ll admit, he may have taken one for the team….but, he said in his statement I decided to file for my divorce from my wife, acknowledging its not the most opportune time. .
I’d say the divorce announcement within a day or two of telling the press you’re worried about your wife’s brain surgery is a thoroughly Gingrichian move.
