Wow, that was a pretty cool game. I do want Atlanta to win tomorrow just to spite the Trashtros.

yeah, I guess that’s good. I think I want Houston to win tomorrow, though. I don’t want Atlanta fans being ecstatic at the park.

I guess I’d still like the Astros to lose but I think it would be more fun if they lost the series at home.

Man, Astros could have crushed this game. Braves are lurking around. Good game.

this must be the famous “what if they held a World Series and nobody came?” World Series.

I wish when they did those commercial end shots altuve just played to the audience and looked like a wrestler villain, like looking angry and thumbs downing everyone. I’ll never forgive him or Correa for never apologizing for their actions but atleast they can try to be villains.

Anyways, happy Halloween everyone!

In the first two games, the losing team scored 2 runs.
in the third game, the winning team scored 2 runs.
What does this mean?
Absolutely nothing.
Just something I noticed.

Jayson Stark in the Athletic has an idea about so much bullpen use- change the rules so if you pull the starting pitcher, you lose the DH, assuming they go for universal DH. Thoughts? Oh yeah, go Braves, go Fighting Irish!

why? What’s the reasoning? You still have the pitcher’s position in the order, regardless of who the pitcher is. I haven’t read the article. Maybe it’ll make more sense if I do.

I gather the idea is to make going to the bullpen more costly, thereby delaying the parade of relievers.

Just reduce the pitching staff headcounts, say 11 maximum arms on the MLB roster at any given time ad not allow shuttling arms with the minors more than 1 day per week, unless injured. This will encourage teams to stretch out the starters.

If one gets called up, one has to stay for a week or more? That might help the issue

I always hate the ‘call up for a spot start – pitch amazing, and on a plane back to mediocrity before the lights are out move’. Pay the minor leaguers better, and making coming up to the show meaningful.
