Galling the umpires keep calling balks on the Angels under very questionable circumstances in favor of the lying cheating Astros. Awesome that karma nailed them on the very next play.
It’s clear to me that Houston is a damn good team, solid line-up. Dusty Baker has done a great job leveling the ship after the cheating scandal. Overcame a lot of injuries. They will be a difficult out in the post season.
How long can they keep this up? Likely losing Correa after the season, and how long will their pitching hold out (Grienke is a FA, Verlander is likely gone (right?)).
Not too sure about Correa. Have not followed too close his relationship with the FO or any signal coming out of the FO. They might want to reconsider. He’s good. Unless, he wants Lindor money. Train wreck.
He wants 20M+. He turned down 6-years 120M before the season. Maybe he wants more years (lifetime), but likely thinks he gets more money – even if there are a few top SS on the market at once (Correa, Story, Semien, Seager; Baez).
I hope we only pay for pitching, and either take the second tier (Galvis, Villar) or hope our own players can step up, hoping it is a two-year stop-gap until Jackson or Paris.
Well, there is a logic to my comment, other than trying to make a player look bad. All stats are selective – but it matters what story you are trying to tell.
More than half the comments on Rengifo are just that. Almost all of the comments on Stefanic are the same, but less assurance that anyone has even had their eyes on him at all.
One day is too small a sample. Stats from the call up talks about a potentially improved player (and removes stats from before he was sent down), but also gives a look at a meaningful timeframe.
Who says no?
10:37 Walsh, Marsh, Suarez, Adams to the Rockies for Marquez. Would that be enough?
Mark P
10:38 As much as the Rockies value Marquez, I think they’d jump at that offer. I also doubt that the Angels would give up anything close to that much for Marquez.
Ouch!
Rengifo needs to work out this issue of the low ones in the minors.
Man, Rengifo.
Time for a homer, Shohei.
Desperately needs to get his long ball mojo back.

Karma’s name is Fletcher!
I was going to say that in my original post, but I was too GA to bother correcting it. Thanks for the clarification.😀
Fletcher is struggling, now under 0.280.
Stanek throwing gas. Marsh’s head is still swirling.

Semien has made himself a ton of money after this year. I don’t think the A’s saw that type of a year coming.
as has been mentioned by lots of people, they’ve always been good which is why the cheating was so stupid. They didn’t need it.
Come on, Gump!
RengIFFYo at .178 and sinking.
he looked good yesterday
Why use the stats from before he was sent down? Hitting .333 since the call up.
1 for his last 7 (.143). :-). Selective stats.

I agree with you. I was just being difficult.
just kidding here, but why use the stats from the call up instead of the stats from today?
Let me one up you. Why use stats? We could all use our Lyle eyes and just pontificate about how good or bad a player is. 🙂

sure, but six games isn’t enough for anything.
Just a window into where the player is after the call up. Small – sure. Will it hold up? Time will tell.
It’s clear to be that he is a hacker. Goes up there to take his hard cuts. Not to be confused with Erick Aybar or David Fletcher.
Thank you Lance McCullers, Jr. for not using that Brandon Crawford hair grease today.
this is going to set a record low number of comments in a game thread for 2021.
McCullers at 91 pitches. Our only hope is that he departs soon.
Dipping into the pen so early is our 2021 motto.
Remember when the game was tied? Yeah, those were good times.
gee, I only looked away to see the football scores.
So, it’s your fault 😉
Yeah, we had em right where we wanted them.
time for run(s), Shohei!
The 2014 Golden Glover Juan Long Gone Lagares!
Juan Gone!
HOME RUN —- JUAN LAGARES !!!
That’s big. Barria likely done for the day, but well done getting out of that.
Herget? Selman? Peguero? I would think one of those three. Not Petricka, please.
Wondering when we get Warren back. Gubi said it would likely be Quijada.

It was my hysterical laugh for the day.
No thanks.
no, the Rockies would have to kick in at least 3 top prospects.
