He does DH and is a 2-way player by choice. Versus assuming he is exhausted. I wish someone would ask him the question. My guess he is not and that is why Joe is rolling with him.
Can’t complain about the results. I do worry about how he’ll react over next several days. OTOH, it is September and we’re out, so this may be the best time to see how far Shohei can realistically push.
would have preferred a couple of Ohtani hits but I’m ecstatic about his 9-1, 2.97 ERA
And 42 HRs?
20 (or 21?) SBs
Light it up!
WIN!

It would be be a great time to extend this man
Home town scoring…”hit”
Ohtani sitting at 2.97 ERA – nice.
Quick trade him now! He has some value!😂
What a dumb swing. Cishek couldn’t find the plate.
I’ve seen exactly one good outing all year by cishek.

Lead off walks = Not so good of a move.
Maddon sure loves to play with his SeaShells collection.
That toy needs to be hidden from view.
No base runners though, so there is that.
Sure does have a rubber arm.
Can of gasoline with Seashells.
Oh no. No no no
Ohtani is 1 for his last 22 ABs. Tired or pressing?
Exhaustion period.
I’d give Sho two days off.
This guy must be exhausted
Look at the average, he’s gassed for sure.
No protection in the lineup, plus large launch angle. He is a slugger first, never been a high average batting hitter.
Many fans don’t realize how taxing these baseball games can be. And quadruple for a pitcher.

Nice, left them stranded. I want a SHO-BOMB…
That’s a lot of pitches for Ohtani tonight. :O
Great performance. Have to appreciate him.

He has 4 starts left and maybe less if the Angels decide to shut him down but he needs to keep hitting. Best run producer we have.
Has not pitched in 9 loooong days. Keep running him out there. Oh wait, We have Maddon.
117 pitches is plenty
You liking the bullpen? Take to the 9th.
