Mike Trout and the Angels are going to end up looking exactly like Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay. You cut the half a billion dollar centerpiece of your franchise’s mentor/best friend and you don’t even give him a heads up. You release a hall of famer and you don’t even talk to your team about it. Not before he is released and not after. Instead, you let rumors and gossip to rule the day, you let your players stew in frustration and anger, and you once again remind all of MLB and the national media why this franchise is considered the biggest joke in American professionals sports. Go to hell Mr. Arte.

Man, the Angels are the worst. I hate being a fan of this team. This Pujols issue is just the latest black eye for this club. I understand the guy needed to be released, as he has been below replacement level for 5+ years. But the way the F/O handled it is just ridiculous. They embarrass themselves again nationally while alienating the guys on their roster. How they could screw up the Pujols situation this badly speaks to the sheer incompetence of the people running this damn franchise. I HATE being an Angel fan!
