To Trevor Bauer, here is the list. Have a bad game we will be rooting for you again your next start. Bundy is a Hero in sunny OC and if you join him in success you will still be unrecognized walking down the street in Newport or Huntington heading for the beach. Because watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean on a warm evening sunset in the summer is priceless. But the truth is we are just a few pieces away from the WS. We turned it on to late in a 60 gm season. In a162 gm season we very well could have done something positive. One other good thing, our Bullpen can’t get but only better behind you. One more thing, we have a pitchers Ballpark. In a bad year we draw over 3 million fans that are behind you. You are the pitcher and welcomed spark to join us.
Trevor Bauer tweets (paraphrasing) “I’ve seen lots of Angel fans wanting me to be an Angel. Tell me why”.
My reply:
“Win with the Yankees, get a thank you. Win with the Angels, get a statue.”
I suppose the converse is true as well: Lose with the Angels, eh, it’s kinda our last decade. Lose with the Yankees, get tarred and feathered. Yankees fans are much less kind than we are.
Kershaw scratched. Dodgers will have to go with Gonsolin, who would easily be a 2 or 3 on most staffs. Their depth is unbelievable. Crazy how much I respect that front office while also hoping they lose.
Houston, the new Boston. We’re all just haters.
Although I would laugh if they made it all the way back and beat the Dodgers fair and square. Talk about humiliation for the blue crew.
Also, here’s a picture of Pete Alonso for no godamn reason….

I’m all in favor of sending La Russa off with a nice fruit basket and a chartered jet. Waste of money we could be spending on things like scouting.
If the Sox want LaRussa, they can certainly have him. He’s left no fingerprints on whatever he’s been doing to earn Arte’s money.
Seriously. I don’t understand what his job is/was. I’m not complaining about him, I seriously don’t know enough about what the hell he’s doing here to even like or dislike him. He’s dark matter.
But dark matter makes a palpable difference in its surroundings. That is exactly what I can’t seem to detect from La Russa. Did Arte just hire him for his celeb value?
The Dodgers also lost.
