LA Angeles Tuesday News Crash: Offensive Explosion

In yesterday’s opener, the Angels and A’s each found their offenses.

The Angels designated Jose Rodriguez for assignment and gave his spot on the 40 man roster to Jose Suarez.

Ramon Laureano says he wasted his time on Alex Cintron.  Meanwhile, Alex Cintron denies talking about Laureano’s mother.  Cintron does seem to find himself in the thick of a lot of shady behavior by the Astros.

As reported yesterday, Cleveland sent Zach Plesac home after he left his hotel in Chicago to go out on the town with some friends.  The team actually rented him a car and made him drive back to Cleveland rather than share the airplane with his teammates. Mike Clevinger was actually with Plesac, and he kept this information to himself until the team found out and sent him home too. Remember, Carlos Carrasco had leukemia last year. Marcus Stroman has opted out of the 2020 season.  Madison Bumgarner is on the Diamondbacks injured list with middle back related issues.  Joe Kelly is on the ten day injured list with right shoulder inflammation.  Charlie Morton is also on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Jeff Passan reports that MLB is looking into a bubble-like situation for its playoffs. Might Los Angeles be a potential option?

We have the worst record in the AL and are easily the closest last place team to the playoffs. This is as baseball as baseball gets.

Cintron is garbage. A key player in a cheating scandal should not have a job in baseball this year. Then he runs his mouth, starts a fight, and lies about what he said. At no point has any accountability taken place or the words “I’m sorry” come from him.

A key player in the asstros cheating scandal should not have a job in baseball EVER AGAIN. That includes a lot of the cheaters (players) on that team right now.

Why would Cintron apologize? He was rewarded by the Astros organization and wasn’t punished by the MLB. The only people angry about what he did are the fans and the non-cheaters, and he doesn’t care about them.

Alex Cintron is a coward with a big mouth who was overheard by players on both sides making his ride comment. ……..Plesac and Clevinger made mistakes when it comes down to the team and teammates, embarrassing mistakes nonetheless and we all learn by mistakes………Bumgarner was called out by many here to be signed, glad he wanted to return home. Back issues are dang tough to overcome. Ask Kershaw. Lesson to be learned is in the fever pitch of off season signing that players over 30 are just not worth the big money. Hey l even thought we needed Machado and last off season l wanted Mookie Betts and these 2 while doing ok are not all world leading players this season………Ramon Laureano is sounding like he is aware of his mistake and is ready for his punishment. Being that he is not an Astro or Yankee or a Red Sox and is west coast, he is gonna really get stuck to him by Manfreddie…………One last thought of last nights funfest, l really like the idea of keeping Mikey at #3 spot in the line up. l know that numbers geeks say he is more important at second spot. just look at his RBI totals through the years and then you will see that he should not only be able to score runs but in addition drive those runs home………. You know l refer to LaStella as Noodles, it’s not really meant to be derogatory but a just in fun nickname derived from his play. ln seasons past there has been “Dummy Hoy”, “Noodles Hahn”, along with other nicknames based on a players performance. No disrespect intended. ……L knew who Mickey Mantle was at 4 years old, and Willie Mays at 5 years old, but really only knowing they were very good players. As an adult l have never seen anyone with Mike Trout’s talent prior to now. 5 tool players do not come around often and l appreciate Trouty and respect him as much as anyone else. But Mays and Aaron were only in 2 World Series each as opposed to all the great players the Yankees were always to put together. We may still yet be able to make a couple WS yet to showcase Trouty. .

Should we? he’ll be available again in Jan 2021.
Former Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, Bobby Knight all fired or kept on or rehired elsewhere after bad previous offenses.
Bottomline some other team will get him after coming off suspension…..definitely!

I enjoy every bit of news about the Astros’ dysfunction almost as much as I enjoy Angels’ wins. Keep it coming, Trashcans.

Good for Cleveland. Plesac and Clevinger should be sent home. Why is it so difficult for some people to follow relatively basic rules?

I could be wrong but I get the sense that Trout is the team leader on compliance. When the best player in baseball leads by example in this regard, his teammates follow.

I wonder how long of a drive is it from Chicago to Cleveland…..

The Angels violated the Law of the Buttercup last night. I can’t even imagine what the ramifications for this egregious act will be.

The ramifications are two buttercups instead of one.

With 2020 the way it has been so far, with everything being all pandemicky, only two buttercups would actually surprise me in a good way. I’m more worried something 2020 will happen, like a storm cloud hovers over the stadium while the team is playing the field and it suddenly rains down giant flesh eating 20 yr locusts with COVID 20!

Pandemicky, like COVID isn’t putting in a full effort. Got that “lifetime” contract but is only phoning it in.

I’m taking partial credit for that win. The team was up 3-0 before I turned on the TV. I watched until Chapman’s triple then turned off the TV to get some work done. In short, whenever I didn’t watch, the Angels were on fire, when I watched they were garbage.

Hopefully this doesn’t continue as I’d love to watch them but will self quarantine if it results in wins like last night.

If a buttercup falls in the forest, and no one’s there, do the Angels still lose?

It’s my fault. I gave up when the score was 9-4 and stopped watching. I usually stick it out just to see who will get hits and who will suck, but last night I was sick of it.

Now I get to turn off the game whenever it seems hopeless, because superstition says that will make the Angels win.
