LA Angels Wednesday News Crash: It’s April you Fools

I do not feel like doing any pranks today. Not with what is going on today. So here are some links.

Bad News

Bobby Cox is having heart problems in the middle of a plague.

Fangraphs is in trouble and won’t be the last sports site that has financial issues.

Toronto closes all events until July. Technically Baseball is exempt but MLB wants to be sure it is safe first anyway. July baseball is the optimistic side now.

No more TJ surgeries for now as every space available is needed for virus patients.

Good News

First paychecks to MLB vets are being handed out.

Minor League players receiving 400 dollars a week until June.

The Big Fly Podcast that Victor Rojas has started has some good guests on. Like Joe Maddon.

Our own podcast has started as well!

MLB fans voted for the best game of 2019. The winner was the Skaggs No Hitter

NCAA has given players an extra year of eligibility.

The San Francisco Bay area has flattened the curve.

Taiwan is selling masks with players faces on it.

Angels Youtube has some good videos. Like Maddon and an interview with Brandon Marsh.

As always, link below for anything I missed. Stay safe.

…. meh. I wonder if there’s some possibility that Alabama (Rocket City) plays sooner than SLC… If so, he’d get into action sooner than later.

ah, so this is where it was reported.

Sad day in Halo history. But, boy, he could sure hustle after grounders on one day … Thanks Alfredo Griffin.

He should be ready to go by the time baseball is back in July (when baseball resumed, according to the CTPG podcast, the only real place for Angels information).

Garrett Richards career path by any other name is still Garrett Richards career path. I’m starting to see “stem cell” and “platelet rich injection” therapy ads for joints now.

Watched the Moreno Dream Team, not Beltre, play in the World Series yesterday.

If Cruz didn’t GULF, we could have had him in right field, and still.

So many of them names made our team, meh again.

You should add a clip-on to the rally thong.

For the classy occasions.

For classy occasions, and nothing says class like a clip-on, a black tie is a must. Don’t want to create a needless fashion faux pas.

It definitely communicates class, maybe just not the one you would be going for.

Aramark is not doing much but here is their response https://www.aramark.com/Landing-Pages/COVID-19_Associates

The article suggests the workers are outsourced to Aramark. According to their Annual Report, in 2017 Aramark had 11 billion in assets and 14.6 billion in revenue. Based on that, I think Aramark is perfectly capable of paying its own employees during the crisis without a subsidy from the Angels.

I had a dream that Mike Trout went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double and had an outfield assist. The Angels still lost. It was the most realistic dream I’ve ever had.

That is Giant news about the San Francisco area, they deserve some A’s. Glad the virus is no longer going to act as Raiders; maybe the virus will decrease more than 49rs percent.

Good morning! The day is November 30th. Baseball has finished a 162-game season. The Angels have won the World Series. Mike Trout hit the game 7’s winning walk-off home run.

All is right with the world.

BTW, if you needed a reason to subscribe to The Athletic, Joe Poznanski is down to #6 on his countdown of the best baseball players ever. I gotta say, this is the best baseball writing I have seen since Roger Angell in the New Yorker. The whole project will be longer than Moby Dick. Number Six is, of course, Ted Williams. Flat outstanding writing.
