Good morning, CTPG peeps. I hope this post finds you all well, safe and healthy. Like many of you, I’ve been ready for some baseball for awhile and because that doesn’t seem to be something that’s going to happen anytime soon, I’ve decided to start a YouTube baseball show. I, along with Royals pre/post game host Joel Goldberg, host the show and we are planning on doing this daily (Monday-Friday). Our plan is to have guests on to talk about the news of the day as it relates to our sport but we will go off on other topics as well as we see appropriate. Our first two episodes are uploaded and ready to go on our channel. You can access and subscribe to here 👉🏼 https://tinyurl.com/ufud6t3. You can also follow us on Twitter/Instagram – @BFBaseballShow.
I know these are tough times, WE are all in this together. I would have worked my first two games by now and been looking forward to my first check since October this week. Clearly this is not going to be the case. This is something, along with Big Fly Gear, that has helped us cope with the unknown. I sincerely hope our show brings you a smidge of normalcy in this weird world we are currently residing in…if nothing at all, you can get lost for about an hour and just hear the sounds/talk of baseball.
Be well and thank you for your time…V
Oh, i’m so in.
Thanks, Victor! Hope you and your family stay safe and healthy!
This is the highlight of the season so far!
Cool, although I am going to miss you and Gubi when you get goofy “Watch me paste this pathetic palooka with a powerful paralyzing perfect pachydermous percussion pitch.” That was an afternoon to remember.
So cool for an Angels broadcaster to be interacting on this site with fans!
This is great and welcome news, Victor! We’ve been so desperate for baseball that we’ve been re-watching all the games we recorded when a DVD recorder was the best option for time-shifting. It will be a tonic to hear your voice!
DVD….what about VCR?
I bought my first VCR October 15, 1986 so I could tape the Game 7 win and have it forever. Needless to say I taped over it shortly after that.
VCR and the DVD? There wasn’t any of the crap back in 1973
Well, there was U-matic, and half-inch reel-to-reel consumer, for the very committed.
We have a number of games on VHS too, but I dubbed many of them to DVD long ago. We don’t have an easy way to watch VHS now, so I’ll have to dub the rest of them soon.
Sweet! Baseball on YouTube is actually pretty scarce even before the outbreak.
I heard of this guy down in Texas, spends a lot of time in California in the summer. Runs a website out of his house. Has some pretty cool stuff he sells. But you did not here it from me. Check it out and drive home safely.
I have been so baseball starved, I couldn’t wait to listen in. I watched both shows back to back and thought it was great and now I am here just waiting for tomorrows show. Great job by Victor and Goldberg. Also a shoutout to Victors daughter as executive producer.
Excellent news Victor! I was supposed to be in Arlington for the Angel-stRanger series at this time next week buuut……….
At least we’ll be able to see/hear the face/voice of Halo baseball (and the other guy) to ease our withdrawl symptoms. Thanks!
Nice. I had planned on taking my family to the game Sunday. Last night I would’ve heard you call the Freeway Series. I grabbed a pizza from an empty neighborhood spot and it was empty. Normally there would’ve been Angels and Dodgers hats, a team or two of kids fresh off their game.
It is surreal.
Oh yes !!! I need something like this soothe my baseball angst. Been too long of an off season.
This sounds cool! I hope I can watch as soon as I finish classes today.
