Padres have Dylan Cease starting tomorrow night; the Dodgers have: a bullpen game. They have a billion invested and are poised to bow out AGAIN.
It was asked here before and most seem to think Dave Roberts’s job is safe, but I don’t think so. If only because it happens agains and again. Were their starters decimated by injuries? Of course. To a remarkable degree.
But someone will have to feel pain after this and I see the safe pick as being Roberts. We’ll see.
As if Manny was throwing at him in the dugout: BS. Gamesmanship by Roberts. Weak gamesmanship, albeit.
I just can’t see the Dodgers winning the next two. They don’t have the (healthy) pitching.
Well, the NHL officially begins tonight (although they’ve played two games in Prague). I will continue to root for the Padres, but I wish all of you baseball fanatics the best.
