This makes me feel good. The kids are getting used to playoff baseball which will come in handy in 2028

Sweet win. Cozart with a bomb. Nimmala with the winning run.
I love watching this team.

Also nice proof of concept for a minor league game thread. As much activity as many MLB game threads!

Tight game throughout. The pitcher who gave up the bulk of the Panda runs (Polanco) isn’t much of a prospect, but nice to see ranked prospects Snead, Nimmala and Cozart come through.

Pandas going to try to do it the hard way – one run lead in the bottom of the ninth vs the heart of the Shuckers order.

Really nice game for Munroe tonight – on four times!
He had been one of the only quiet Panda bats in the postseason so far.

It’d be great to steal a victory here with the next two in Alabama. A win here would definitely feel like we stole a game

Nimmala shows up against a tough closer, 105 EV off the bat for a double.

Really nice two innings there from Minacci.

You can see how Minacci is a nice potential arm for middle relief.

I’ve always liked the name since I saw him in camp a couple years ago. I think he’s has potential even closing. Easy call for SLC next year at least.

Wake Forest closer for a stretch, so he definitely has the resume. It’s not overwhelming stuff, but he’s a smart, situational pitcher.

My guess is he’s the first one on this roster to reach Anaheim 🇮🇹

I love that Jacob Cozart’s walk-up song is pure yacht rock: Key Largo by Bertie Higgins.

First, I have TV watched 6-7 Salt Lake games this year. Fewer Panda’s. Second, they are young and they are prospects. From what I have watched, there is no help coming next season. Maybe in 2, probably 3 years. Many will never make it. All is my opinion on a short window.
The exception for next year is Rada. No because he is great, but his path is almost clear. And he appears to be a strong defensive upgrade. And a better arm.

Not sure if I agree with this. I think you’ll see at least two of Bremner, Gordon and Snead debuting by next fall. Good chance Pinazzi and Minacci will see some consideration for the pen by summer (if there’s baseball by then).
Rada probably competes in late spring, Cozart, Raudi and Munroe might get looks by late summer, and Nimmala is probably an early 2028 guy.

No impact bats though and that’s our biggest need

I think Nimmala and Cozart could have impact, but yes, bats have been the pipeline’s major deficit for more than half a decade now.
At least it’s clear that Moz and McIlvaine understand this. I don’t think that Minaisan did.

Teeth, what do you think about Micheletti’s future?

75% org guy that sticks it out for a while in the minors. 25% bench guy and platoon bat with a short window in the MLB.

Choppers have eaten up both Made and Nimmala tonight.
