The Simpsons have predicted a lot of things in the modern world. Including, apparently, Homer watching the Angels game tonight. His recap to Moe is really all I need to write.
Yes, in a battle of cellar dwellers the Angels officially suck more than the Rockies. We have a worse record and have lost a home series to them.
An 8-2 beatdown tonight ensures the Rockies will win the series. Tomorrow night they go for the sweep.
Add in the fact the Angels are paying far more in payroll, and it is a true triumph of suck.
Apparently Baltimore knew what they had in Grayson Rodriguez. He supremely sucked tonight and his season ERA sits at a solid 10.00. He’d be great if this was gymnastics, but it isn’t. 3.2 innings pitched, 8 earned runs, 3 bombs allowed.
Normally I don’t love wins and losses for pitchers, but when you give up damn near a run for every out you record, you deserve that big L.
Then again, one of those bombs was off the head of Jo Adell who joined Jose Canseco in the dubious highlight reel category.
At least Adell went 0 for 4 with 2 K’s and hit into a double play. Yeah, the double play was a bit of bad luck but that’s what happens to sucky teams.
Wade Meckler had a two run double and Sam Aldegheri pitched 5.1 innings of shutout baseball. Sammy struck out 5 and walked 2.
Everybody else sucked.
Don’t forget the nasty slider Jo threw to the cut off man, completely missing the cut off man to allow a runner to stretch a double to a triple.
I don’t believe Jo HeAdell would fetch a packet of Goody’s Headache Powder in a trade….
We are wasting Wade Meckler.
Isn’t this adell’s 2nd home run doing this?
I believe so.
He had a ball bounce off his mitt and over for a home run, which was later ruled a 4-base error, 6 years ago. When we sucked then, too.

Talk about bad luck
Someone needs to clean up their game … ahem … dude in Right Field? Here’s some soap for you.
The good thing is it doesn’t much change our projected win total. We sat at 61 plus a little before the game, now we’re at 61 plus less
