Hey everybody,! This is going to be a rudimentary postgame. As the Taoists might say, “poop happens.”Jo Adell singled one in during the first. 1-0 Angels.
Bo Bichette singled one in in the second inning. 1-1 tie.
Then in the fourth inning Vaughn Grissom knocked i two more runs to make it 3-1 Angels.
Anyway, in four innings the Angels had six strikeouts. How they were winning this game I had no idea. Then a sac fly by Andy Ibanez made it 3-2 Angels. Tyrone Taylor made it a 3-3 tie. The Mets had loaded the bases when Sam Bachman, came came in to replace Detmers., That was that, as we made it to the next inning tied.
Craig Kimbrel came in for the save. So what. Here is extra innings.
The Angels loaded the bases for Josh Lowe. He did nothing. Bases and no out fail. All Righty then! Oswald Peraza managed to win this one 4-3.
Wow even Patty O making comments on the pre-game like hoping we have a nice solid lead by the time we have to turn to the bullpen.
When Patty stops being optimistic you know it’s bad.
Is today the day that Neto, who 3rd in MLB strike outs & batting .221, breaks out?
Is today the day that Trout does some real damage in a home uni?
Nightmare 1st month for Neto. I think it’s a combination of many factors — his big ego got even bigger, wants to win so badly and is pressing, being miscast as a leadoff hitter
I’ve never really liked Neto’s “swag”. Been optimistic about him becoming something.
Peraza and Grissom playing. Lowe also and Rivera
Beat me to it haha.
The optimal lineup imo would be Schanuel at leadoff, Neto 3rd, and Lowe/Frazier/Rada 9th
In a scenario where Rada is on the team, why is he not batting leadoff?
Think of the 9th spot as the 2nd leadoff hitter. Lessens the pressure on him too
Honestly, Suzuki just has no clue when it comes to line up construction. Let’s put 2 hitters who are really struggling in the top 3 spots, and then but our 2nd and 3rd best hitters at the bottom. For right now I would go with Grissom, Trout, Peraza, Soler, Neto, Schanuel, and Adell for two weeks and then adjust if needed.
Mark Langston who I hold in well regard said the Angels should be starting Oswald Peraza and Vaughn Grissom every game. His way of saying Moncada sucks and Frazier is a reserve.
Anyone with a modicum of baseball IQ would agree.
Moncada’s pinch-hit “double” that should’ve been caught will earn him a longer leash
Apparently it’s Jack-K today, not Soriano. I like our chances substantially less.
I’ve decided not to go the game even though I bought a ticket.
Guaranteed Silent C throws a perfecto lol
If true, thank you for your service to our team.
Actually, after each of their last two starts, I have more confidence in Silent C today.
Our “clueless” third base coach, Keith Johnson, was calmly doing his job when Peraza singled. Johnson was pointing to the base to make sure nobody forgot to advance. I appreciate that
I will be at the Orange Circle Car Show tomorrow, and not the Angel game …. Because … priorities.
Nobody asked me but: Good for Bachman too. The Bullpen needed this. Soon Neto and Schanny will get hot. Frazier needs to move to Leftfield; Peraza needs to join Grissom and play every day. Lowe to the bench or given a plane ticket to SLC.
D@mmit, let’s take the d@mn series tomorrow. Just for the Hell of it.
Soriano tomorrow?
Peraza with 3 hits and game winning RBI.
Let’s start Moncada tomorrow !!!
TrAdition!
Bachman and Zef!
I had hoped, for Lowe’s sake, that he’d get the walkoff. For his morale, for the team’s. Glad for Peraza, of course, but It was a good spot for Lowe
Lowe hit a rocket, but OF was in, so….
No post game interview for Peraza. TV or Radio. Only reason I can think of is he doesn’t speak English the Angels didn’t have an interpreter available? If so, terrible job FO.
Ippei wasn’t available
He’s on the 15-year unavailable list
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 WallyChuckChili wins the interwebz today. Well played.
He can speak English well enough to do an interview
Just grab a player. There’s probably a number of them that speak both.
No excuse for Peraza being ghosted.
This just means Perazza will be benched for the next two games.
Thanks Peraza, er…you won’t need your glove today.
