Kyle Hendricks was perfect through four innings. Logan Gilbert was perfect through three. Nolan Schanuel got a two out single in the fourth inning for the first hit of the game. Taylor Ward then got the first walk of the game. Jo Adell struck out to end the fourth inning. 0-0 tie after four.
Josh Naylor singled to lead off the top of the fifth. He stole second while Arozarena was batting. Jorge Polanco walked. Dominic Canzone popped out. Josh Naylor stole third without a throw but Ben Williamson flied out to end the top of the fifth inning.
Travis d’Arnaud walked to lead off the bottom of the fifth. He reached second on a wild pitch. Luis Rengifo walked. Gustavo Campero got hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Kevin Newman hit into a force out but a run scored.

Neto lined out to left to bring up Mike Trout who homered to dead center to make it 4-0 Angels. Finally, he got that one thousandth RBI.
Nolan Schanuel doubled but Taylor Ward struck out to end the inning.

The Angels, for their part went three up three down. In the seventh inning, Cal Raleigh homered to put Seattle on the board. 4-1 Angels. Kyle Hendricks was removed in favor of Reid Detmers who got three easy outs.
The Angels went three up three down in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brock Burke came in to pitch the top of the eighth inning. He walked a guy and then balked trying to pick him off. He got out of the inning without giving up any runs.
Mike Trout got a base hit to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning. Nolan Schanuel hit into a force out. Taylor Ward walked. Jo Adell hit into a double play to end the inning.
Kenley Jansen came in to close out the game. Strikeout, pop out, strikeout. The Angels won 4-1!
