Kyle Hendricks was perfect through four innings. Logan Gilbert was perfect through three. Nolan Schanuel got a two out single in the fourth inning for the first hit of the game. Taylor Ward then got the first walk of the game. Jo Adell struck out to end the fourth inning. 0-0 tie after four.
Josh Naylor singled to lead off the top of the fifth. He stole second while Arozarena was batting. Jorge Polanco walked. Dominic Canzone popped out. Josh Naylor stole third without a throw but Ben Williamson flied out to end the top of the fifth inning.
Travis d’Arnaud walked to lead off the bottom of the fifth. He reached second on a wild pitch. Luis Rengifo walked. Gustavo Campero got hit by a pitch to load the bases with no outs. Kevin Newman hit into a force out but a run scored.
A second run scored on a wild pitch to Zach Neto.
Neto lined out to left to bring up Mike Trout who homered to dead center to make it 4-0 Angels. Finally, he got that one thousandth RBI.
Nolan Schanuel doubled but Taylor Ward struck out to end the inning.
Kyle Hendricks pitched a shutdown sixth inning aided by this great catch by Jo Adell.
The Angels, for their part went three up three down. In the seventh inning, Cal Raleigh homered to put Seattle on the board. 4-1 Angels. Kyle Hendricks was removed in favor of Reid Detmers who got three easy outs.
The Angels went three up three down in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brock Burke came in to pitch the top of the eighth inning. He walked a guy and then balked trying to pick him off. He got out of the inning without giving up any runs.
Mike Trout got a base hit to lead off the bottom of the eighth inning. Nolan Schanuel hit into a force out. Taylor Ward walked. Jo Adell hit into a double play to end the inning.
Kenley Jansen came in to close out the game. Strikeout, pop out, strikeout. The Angels won 4-1!

Perry’s Pitching Lab 🧪🧪🧪
Here are pics from tonight.
Besides TGA and DJ, following these DR kids to next levels will be fun. They demolished the three teams in a row. Giants were best team in ACL in 2025 and Argenis Camara was their best P.
Munroe looks much bigger seeing him standing up.
Who’s the giant standing beside Munroe ?
Tyler’s big brother, Chase
Shores is 6’8″.
Not a lot of guys that tall in the league who can pull off league average command, but we shall see.
Jordan had a tough assignment tonight – three of BA’s top ten ACL prospects are on the Giants, including #1 (Level, the guy who took him deep) and Cayama, the night’s starter.
Solid showings from Alvarez and Alfonso, and nice to see Ramirez lay into one. Alfonso’s a bit old for the level, and he has no power to speak of, but you can almost see a utility piece if you squint a bit.
TGA+DJ – two playoff games
13 innings, 0 walks, 6 hits, 2 runs, 9K
The YouTube stream view was pretty distant so idk how much I could really decipher. Jordan’s velo was solid thruout and I thought his slider had nice break to it.
Appreciate the note on Alfonso because I haven’t followed him one bit. Alvarez seems like the major breakout player in the farm this year.
Jordan’s slider is definitely his calling card.
Alvarez is interesting, but I hesitate to call it a breakout until we see if the strength gains play in full season ball and against better velocity. Angels personnel are excited about him, but reads on the exit velocity have been inconsistent – the scouting community hasn’t totally bought into the power gains yet. But his defense has improved, and the speed is holding as he fills out, which is good sign.
I think it’s just important to acknowledge league context – there are a lot of video game numbers in the ACL. As good as the rate stats look, none of Alvarez’s avg, OBP, ops are top ten in the league (he’s #33 in OPS, for instance, and #18 in OBP as the leadoff man in a 15 team league). That’s not the primary way to evaluate 18 year olds in the complete leagues, but it does give you some additional information as to why he’s not a top 20 guy on most Angels rankings yet.
my memory could be off but I think Perry’s MO is to wait until the day of the deadline so probably no deal/s until Thursday…maybe.
My memory could be off too… several over his reign were announced after the deadline passed, obviously a last minute finalization.
I wi see if that’s due to Perry or the fact he only trades rentals with little value that aren’t big priorities fir other teams.
You shop at the bargain bin last, not first. Perry’s leftovers are the fallback option for many shoppers

Level got DJ but he was prospect uno in DSL last year and ACL this year.
Bases loaded! Luca!
Draft class is here again.
That, and all the noise the dugout makes 🎧🎉 makes it better.
Sadly, no sound on the stream. Still having a blast watching!
Hayden Alvarez’s swing is so pretty. DJ looks good sitting 93-96 with the fastball
Little Red Machine ! 🚒
4-1 good guys
Level up
I just wanted to say that. Same place as HR.
Keep an eye on this one
Lucas annihilated that ball. Like his daddy minus the steroids
Bremner, Shores, TGA, DJ, Slawinski – the 2030 rotation is in the house.
I hope the rotation is good in 2030, Neto will be gone via free agency that year. What a joke Perry is.
lol aright. Neto is the franchise
Is my boy, Talon Haley, not in attendance?
Yes probably – I think he’s in a picture from last night.

I figured out a few more guys, but not much.
Gotta say. It’s pretty awesome to see so many dudes around here following this. Though I’m not sure how we are managing to watch anything. How are they playing a game if the angels have no prospects?
Luuuuuuuuc….. winner 6-3

I know it’s way easier said than done, but Perry needs to pull some magic out of his beaver beak and get us a couple position player prospects in trade the next few days.
Hoping but not seeing how we get there by only dealing the expiring contracts. As you pointed out 2-3 days ago,
On the simulator, their WAR is in the toilet.

I could pleasure myself to those numbers if I swung that way.
Pineapple 12 posted last night, didn’t see it. He’s the the go to for info
Sheeeeeet. Who am i kidding? I pleasured myself to those numbers. TGA’s fastball might be 70-grade at this point.
But. Prospects never get better. A 40 stays a 40 forever right?
For a non-prospect that is pretty prospectivey.
I am curious why seemingly ALL of our prospects got off to such a crap start on the farm this year. Some seem to be climbing out of it. But man, it was a bleak 1st 3 months….
Also that 6-11 fellow…. Olekendijk or whatever. In PS. Killed it in July.
Been following him. Intrigued.
We probably better shorten Olekendijk to “Big Dijk“ if he amounts to anything.
He should be killing it though. He’s pretty long in the tooth for low-A. Talent level at low A is closer to rookie ball post-milb contraction.
It’s a fairly big jump between low and high A now. Why we’ve been seeing Vargas get hit around since his promotion.
At Diablo again for Game 1 of ACL Championship.
Dylan Jordan tonight!!
LFG!
Little surprised Jordan is in Arizona still
I’d like to know how much he’s using the change, and how he’s commanding it. Only a week ago BA was still profiling him as a leverage reliever because the change wasnt that developed, and he’s largely a two pitch guy blowing away rookie hitters with the heat.
We split with the Mariners. Clearly we are in contention. We can’t let that ward Window go to waste can we?
A split hurt the Mariners more than the Angels. I’ll drink to that, 🥃
You had me at hurt Mariners.
Silent C starting tomorrow vs. deGrom. That should be the final nail in the coffin that allows Perry to sell.
Trade TA for a 35 FV prospect and give Victor Mederos 10 starts.
Mederos today in AAA:
7 innings
1 ER
6 hits
2 walks
5 strikeouts
I don’t know if it’s next week, but we’ll see Victor Murderface
Who would have thought that between Kikuchi, Sori, Anderson and Hendricks, that the Professor would be the one to give Jrod an 0-fer?!
I’ve ragged on him quite a bit lately, but congrats to Mike on 1000 RBIs. For sure he’s been hearing the chatter that he’s washed, and I would think that doesn’t make him feel good. So reaching some milestones must make him feel better.
He didn’t look washed on that 2-run jack to Center-RF.
Nor that single in the 8th after being down 0-2 in the count.
Trouty is still really good. There’s no credible argument to be made that he’s washed.
I’ve been frustrated with his Ks since the AS break, but I don’t believe he’s washed. He’s still a really good player.
When all is said and done, I hope he holds all the Angels offensive records – a fitting tribute to the one who wanted to be an Angel for life.
Yeah. He’s not washed. And who knows. Maybe he has a .900 OPS season or two left in him too. Knees, back, calves and every other part willing.
Kendricks leads the team in WHIP at 1.25, which I would not have guessed.
Keeping ahead of the streaking A’s, no more last place finishes. pleeeeeze
A series win. How neat is that?
Would have been very neat but it was a 4 game split.
Wow. Hendricks still going. Hard to believe. Bring him back next year?
I truly like the guy. I actually like watching him pitch. Can do worse for a #5 starter.
Yea the real problem is we have 2 #2s and 3#5s.
Or trade him. I’ve been on the Hendricks train, day 1.
51-55, still much better than I expected
12 more wins to tie last year’s win total
we’re gonna make it!
GAME BALL -Kyle MF Hendricks
Trout (2-run bomb) and Adell (robbed a would be homer) get honorable mentions.
Need 2 game balls today.
