After a very shaky start to the game (down 3-0) in the first two innings, the Halos were able to squeak out the dub.
After the first two innings of his start, Tyler Anderson settled in nicely. He went 6 innings, 6 hits, 3 runs( 2 in the 1st and 1 in the 2nd), no walks, and one strikeout. The Angels scored 4 runs on 6 hits and won the game; as I was told, good teams win. Going into the bottom of the 8th tied the Halos were able to get across the run and go into the 9th up 4-3. Then, whoever Skip thinks is best out of the pen that day gets on the bump and gets the last 3 outs of the game. That’s what happened tonight, Kenley came in and gave up a “hit”. But the only thing that matters is his save.
Logan O’Hoppe, who might be my favorite Angel besides Trout. Put a great swing on this high and out fastball to tie the game at 3 apiece.
The Game would remain tied until the bottom of the 8th when Big Papa ” Zach Neto” came up and went yard to take the lead. Here it is.
I would just like to point out how impressive it is to do what Neto just did. I’m not just talking about going yard. Yes, that is still great, but you don’t see it very often with that launch angle and exit velo. It was a missile down the line. came off the bat at 109.7 with a 22-degree launch angle. What a swing from Neto for the lead.
Not to mention that Kenley Jansen has been doing this pretty much as long as I’ve been alive. He was able to come in and get it done. Great win for the Halos, they keep their good start to the year going.
I couldn’t find the last out of the game, but I did find a sweet diving catch that Trout made, so I’ll give that to you guys instead.
