The irony is definitely not lost on me as this ESPN expert analyst claims Alde is probably the least susceptible to an injury in the entire organization yet no-one has heard a peep from him since camp opened 3 weeks ago.

Dana found the MLB and it mauled him. That’s OK. He’s getting lots of experience and tape. I think he’ll get good work done in the MiLB and come up strong later. He made good post ST adjustments last year.
Could we have Soriano, Kickuci, Hendricks, Detmers, Silent C after a trade of Anderson early in the season? Wouldn’t be the worst thing ever.

Other than Maxine Waters is there anything in SoCal as tired looking and played out as the Angels uniforms? It’s not fair that the Marlins and D Backs get like 20 new uniforms a decade and we get this lame shit again and again.

Not based on Spring but Tyler’s recent history of regular seasons :
2023 : 5.43 ERA , 4.92 FIP
2021 : 4.81 ERA , 4.52 FIP
2019 : 11.76 ERA , 7.62 FIP (small sample)
In a larger sense he has been alternating good years and very bad years. He had a good year last season, so we know what comes next …

I had a high bar, high expectations for CMo coming into this season. After meeting him and watching him the last three weeks, I can honestly say he’s exceeded my already high expectations. He is wired differently and you can sense a passion to excel. And you can sense if this young core team continues to grow and excel, it will be CMo who will emerge as their soul and leader. Still doubt he makes opening day roster, but he has impressed as a major dude.

Nice. I saw him on 30 Clubs and he seems very coachable. Washington talked about making decisions and Moore repeated he’s trying to make the correct decisions.
Take talent and drive like that and add the desire to learn and you can produce a great player.

Pretty sure I’ve seen this in years past but can’t remember when.
I went to a game a decade ago when Pujols was given a pinch runner every time he reached base but stayed in the lineup.
I’m pretty sure in Spring the managers just discuss things and go with what they agree on. To a degree, anyway.

No but they have this thing called the IL
Plus I would imagine Rengifo is the projected starter at second base although there has been more a push to have be more of a utility player. I believe Paris has played exclusively at sencnd base this spring so he would either start in Anaheim or the great Salt Lake. So maybe the Angels would make Paris the starter and move Rengifo around the diamond even if hes slowed by injuries.

He certainly has looked scrappy all spring. It’s going to take more than that for me to consider him a legitimate option though.
If he starts the season in SLC and manages to put up some good numbers for a couple months there, then maybe he will have my attention.

I am digging the ABS challenge system. I think this is a nice balance between keeping the humanity in the game but smoothing out the potential for game altering bad calls.
The review process is so fast too, it works well.
