I called it first after they won game 1, Doyers WS. Who can really beat this super, $$$ , team? Still will cheer on Mets. Some of you Dodger wagon fans on this site, here a question for you. Why do idiots wear Dodger gear to Angel home games when they’re not playing? I don’t get it, in NFL that’s like Chiefs playing at Denver and people show up wearing Raiders gear. Is it just cockyness or maybe they can’t afford to see their team so they pay to watch someone else?

I am surprised that someone who in their username claims to be “old school” not recognizing there are some geezers (me included) out there who remember the days prior to lines of death in the sand envy of our big brother to the North. We were GLAD to have two, then three(!) teams within easy driving distance to watch in person and root for.

Why do you take it so personally?

Is it so incomprehensible someone would have the gall to root for or enjoy the success of a team you clearly don’t like?

Dodgers Yankees playoffs? Barf city. Might just pretend there’s a baseball strike.

I’d take Tigers v Mets.

But most likely it will be Dodgers v Yankees. That is salt in the wounds.

Worst possible matchup.

I dunno… Tigers-Dodgers has an element of “feel good story of the year gritty little team that could” should the Tigers win.

BTW I didn’t look at National League payroll recently — but aren’t the Dodgers and Mets two of the top payroll teams that are outspending others.

Padres with a classic choke job. Woof.

Congrats to those who wear blue under their Angels gear.

I’m not sure it’s a choke. Dodgers have multiple MVPs on the roster and a pitcher they paid huge money to get in the off-season. They took the lead early. Padres never scored.

Dodgers were the favorite and won. Padres had a nice year but Game 4 was their best chance.

They went up 2-1 in the series and then didn’t score a run for 24 innings. They ran their mouths more than the bases.

Ultimate choke job.

I get it. But when the Padres were up 2-1, I didn’t expect them to win. They weren’t the better team. They had a chance because they took a 2-1 lead, but the eventual outcome was pretty predictable

Manfred has to be stoked right now – Dodgers/Yankees feeling more preordained by the minute.

There was even a commercial in the third inning pumping the MLB postseason and it was only Ohtani and Judge in every shot, even before the NLDS was concluded.

The vast MLB conspiracy to stack the playoffs. I wonder if the aliens at their secret base on the dark side of the moon who hold all the gold Prescott Bush looted from Fort Knox are financing it.

Yes — MLB clearly wants Dodgers and Yankees which is scary as it is a spot where umpires play a big role and can make calls that tip the scales one way or another (unintentionally of course).

Shows that this series really mean a lot, good for MLB and the rivalry that has been building up. Tonight I had calls from many Padres fans including one of my sons trying to convince me that I was on the wrong side.

If it were Brooklyn I’d root for that team. Instead it’s some soulless zombie shell that used to be very lovable.

When did the last Brooklyn Dodger leave? That’s when the transformation was complete.

The Brooklyn Dodgers moved to LA in 1958. 66 years ago. Brooklyn has nothing to do with then anymore.

Probably when Drysdale retired in 1969. He was a 19-year-old rookie with Brooklyn in 1956. John Roseboro might have been the last position player and was traded after the 1967 season.

Dodgers pitching the last two games was simply dominant.
