We had Davis Daniel going up against the Toronto Blue Jays.
In the top of the third inning, Vlad Guerrero Jr. doubled with one out. Spencer Horwitz followed that up with a ground rule double. 1-0 Toronto. Will Wagner singled for his first Major League RBI. 2-0 Toronto. Leo Jimenez homered to make it 4-0 Toronto. In the bottom of the third inning Mickey Moniak homered to make it 4-1 Toronto.
Hans Crouse came in to pitch the top of the sixth. We came to the top of the seventh with no scoring change and Matt Moore came in to pitch for Hans Crouse. There continued to be no score. Iggy Pop came in to pitch for Toronto to three batters. No further scoring. He was just along for the ride.
Pop was replaced by Genesis Cabrera. I’m not very fond of Genesis, so no video. He retired Pillar with a man on base to end the eighth inning. The Angels brought in Mike Baumann to replace Matt Moore. He retired the Blue Jays without so much as a hit (thanks to Jo Adell robbing a homer). I think he has come pretty far on defense.
Then Jo Adell came up and homered off of Chad Green. 4-2 Toronto.
Nobody else could score in the bottom of the ninth. The Angels lost this one 2-4.
