Anderson versus Woo, how did we do?
Inning #1:
J.P. Crawford popped out to second base. Mitch Garver singled past Rendon at third. Cal Raleigh flied out to Drury at second. Julio Rodriguez hit a two run homer to make it 2-0 Seattle. Ty France lined out to third base. Anthony Rendon doubled to right center to lead off the Angels half of the first inning. Nolan Schanuel lined out to right field. Taylor Ward hit into a 1-4-3 putout to advance Rendon to third with two outs, whereupon Willie Calhoun homered to tie the game at 2.
Logan O’Hoppe bounced a single through the right side. Brandon Drury singled on a liner to center. Mickey Moniak smashed one off of the glove of the first baseman. The second baseman threw wildly to first and Moniak beat the throw. Logan O’Hoppe was then gunned down at the plate trying to score.
Inning 2:
Jorge Polanco flied out to right. Victor Robles grounded out to short. Mitch Haniger struck out on a foul tip. Zach Neto came up and lined one into left center for a base hit. Jo Adell drew a walk. Anthony Rendon came up with two men on and no outs. He grounded out to third base but advanced both runners to scoring position. Nolan Schanuel was hit in the left foot by a pitch to load the bases with one out. Taylor Ward hit into a double play.
Inning 3:
Dylan Moore popped out to Zach Neto at short. J.P. Crawford singled on a ground ball that bounced off the glove of Brandon Drury. Mitch Garver flied out to center field. Cal Raleigh homered. 4-2 Seattle. Julio Rodriguez singled on a grounder through the middle. Ty France grounded into a force out; Anthony Rendon to Brandon Drury at second. Willie Calhoun grounded out to first. Logan O’Hoppe grounded out to Neto. Brandon Drury struck out looking.
Inning 4:
Jorge Polanco struck out swinging. Victor Robles bounced out to Drury. Mitch Haniger grounded out to third. Mickey Moniak doubled to the corner in right. Zach Neto grounded out to third but Moniak made it to third with one out when Moore threw to first. Jo Adell singled through the right side. 4-3 Seattle.
Anthony Rendon drew a walk. Nolan Schanuel got a bloop hit to right and made it a 4-4 tie.
Now Trent Thornton came in to replace Bryan Woo on the mound. Taylor Ward struck out swinging. Willie Calhoun flied out to end the inning.
Inning 5:
Dylan Moore struck out swinging. J.P. Crawford flied out to Zach Neto. Mitch Garver flied out to Brandon Drury. Logan O’Hoppe flied out to center. Brandon Drury singled on a fly ball to right. He was then out at second trying to stretch his hit into a double. Mickey Moniak struck out swinging.
Inning 6:
Cal Raleigh came up with nobody on base this time. He flied out to center. Julio Rodriguez struck out swinging. Ty France doubled to center. Jorge Polanco lined out to right to end the Mariners half of the sixth inning. Collin Snyder replaced Trent Thornton on the mound. Zach Neto grounded out softly to first and Jo Adell struck out. Anthony Rendon also struck out.
Inning 7:
Ben Joyce came in to pitch. Pinch hitter Luke Raley was hit by a pitch. Mitch Haniger popped out to first. Pinch hitter Josh Rojas struck out swinging. J.P. Crawford was batting while Logan O’Hoppe gunned down Luke Raley trying to steal second base. Lots of pinch hitters in the seventh inning of a tie ball game means the rubber has really hit the road for the Mariners. The Astros must have won.
Gregory Santos came in to replace Collin Snyder on the mound. Nolan Schanuel got a four pitch walk. Taylor Ward struck out looking. Willie Calhoun struck out swinging on three pitches. Logan O’Hoppe grounded out to the pitcher to end the inning.
Inning 8:
Luis Garcia came in to pitch. J.P. Crawford bounced out to first. Mitch Garver grounded out to second base. Cal Raleigh singled on a sharp grounder deflected by Drury to Neto. Then Julio Rodriguez singled on a pop up to Drury. Thankfully Ty France flied out to right. Ryne Stanek came in to pitch for Santos. Brandon Drury struck out looking. Mickey Moniak struck out on a foul tip. Zach Neto popped out to the first baseman. Come on guys! All I wanted was a Pepsi. Just one Pepsi (and another run would have been nice).
Inning 9:
Carlos Estevez came in to pitch the ninth inning. Jorge Polanco struck out swinging. Luke Raley grounded out. Mitch Haniger singled on a ground ball to second. Pinch runner Jonatan Clase replaced Haniger at first base. He stole second base. Josh Rojas struck out swinging. Andres Munoz came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth. Jo Adell walked. Anthony Rendon grounded into a double play. Grrr! Nolan Schanuel walked. Schanuel stole second while Taylor Ward was batting. Ward struck out swinging to end the inning. Craptacular!
Inning 10:
Now the Angels brought in Hans Crouse to pitch and Josh Rojas started the inning at second base. J.P. Crawford lined out to left. Mitch Garver hit a ground rule double to score Rojas. 5-4 Mariners. Cal Raleigh got an intentional walk to bring up Julio Rodriguez. Rodriguez struck out swinging. Ty France struck out swinging. Austin Voth came in to pitch for the Mariners. Taylor Ward started the bottom of the tenth at second base. Willie Calhoun homered. It’s a walk off win folks! 6-5 Angels.

Dodgers need a pitcher. They scored 9 today and lost to the Tigers. Anderson would fit the bill. They would be a great trade partner.
Gee I wonder if Perry and the Doyers know that.
This is trAdition at it’s finest.

actually a pretty good throw.
I had a video of that play available, but Jack Frost gets pissed off if I show video of the other team’s highlights. We don’t want that.
🤣 🤣 🤣
Looks like Washington has got the team to be more aggressive on the bases this year. Of course, it seems is if they run into as many outs as they generate, but I’m enjoying it. And +1 for the Institutionalized reference.
GAS!!

Sunday can be Shufflebot Day!!
Ahhhhh. I hate the Mariners. Lovely win. Remember when Julio Rodriguez and his .632 OPS was the next Mike Trout?
I do. Hell, some of us bitch about Neto but he’s workin J Rod over in the results column. So is O’Hoppe. I heart O’Hoppe. Anderson still doesn’t suck. We need Ward to get going and Rengifo to come back so we can trade them all.
He needs some more improvement, but I also like the way Adell plays most games I watch too. One of the best things that could happen in half 2 is Jo getting to .250.
We’re closing in on when we see more farm arms too. One things for sure, it’s a lot more fun watching these guys play than the last couple years.
You are correct in that it is a lot more fun watching the team play than it has been. That’s at least something.
Except when they get shutout 4 times in the span of less than 10 days.
That’s still hard to watch.
Hit StubHub and took the boy and a friend to the game tonight. Had a blast.
Give that man an extra plate at the Buffet!
Tony Gwynn said hello.
Perry Minasian said hi
He leads all Angels GMs in this category.
How is he going to hold 7 plates?
Pretty sure he can do more than 7

Next level…..balance one on his bald head, and spin it. That’s 8.
So what did Willie Calhoun tell tonight’s winning pitcher?

My wife says “maybe he’s not such a bum”, talking of Calhoun. Tonight I agree!
Two 2-run HRs, a walk off and blue Gatorade.
Dad bod walks it off!!! The unlikely hero at the unlikely moment.
And Willie is getting larger!

You sure it wasn’t just the camera angle?
