I suspect he realize that Father Time is undefeated and he seems extra focused on squeezing every last drop while he can.
I’m cautiously optimistic. I just hope he’s truly healthy. It would be fun to witness a vintage Trout campaign. If he’s washed, so be it, but let him be healthy to prove it either way.
I was hoping that Adell would clearly outperform Hicks to secure either the 3rd or 4th OF job, but the latter has been the best player in Spring. He’s earned it.
Some people here love Rengifo because he hits homeruns and usually plays well in the second half of the season.
However, I continue to say that he is lazy, out of position and is a defensive nightmare. Seems like nothing has changed. Washington is not going to put up with his defense for very long. Drury might be forced to play more than people expect.
I’m definitely a member of the Rengifo Praetorian Guard, but if 15 War Ron is serious about being serious, Rengifo better improve. Wash was talking about “six phases” of defensive development or some sh*t and apparently Rengifo is at Phase Two. Whatever any of that means.
I was just going to say that Hicks is our best hitter right now and if both Drury and Rengifo are playing, that means that Mickey, who is one of the few guys hitting well right now, would have to sit for Hicks to play.
I think Mickey will play over Rengifo. He may even get some starts over Hicks against RHP’s since career wise Hicks is worse form the Left side than the the right. DHing Trout once a week will also create opportunities for Mickey.
Ends his afternoon by
lacing a double. Nice.
Trout with another bag. You love to see him utilizing his speed. Use it while you got it.
Dropping the excess weight should pay off in so many ways. He has to stay healthy this season.

The positive is that Hicks does look good….might have a nice pick up.
Smart on Hicks’ part to come here. No doubt he looked at our roster and I was licking his chops at snatching a starting job.
Him playing well benefits both sides. He could be a nice little deadline asset, too….
Though my preferred story line is that he’s one of many pleasant surprises in our Division Title…. haha
lol at your typo

Rengifo has limitations, he just doesn’t realize what those are
Yeah. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Plus his tiny little legs make him look alot faster than he really is
Like when midgets run. Haha

Browns drafted him at WR back in 2019, 2nd round.
Apparently neither does management .

It means that Rengifo should spend all of his free time taking ground balls.
and throwing to bases.
………and thinking.
Kan’t stop K’ing.
Have fun, Gotta gotta go with the wife to Walmart. Rengifo’s practicing to be a bull fighter.
That cant be going over well with Wash.
Didn’t see it. What happened?
Rengifo waved at the ball. Wash ain’t gonna play that kind of defense.
After he previously rushed an easy throw from second for no reason only to throw it in the dugout.
Seems like Rengifo gets most of his errors when Soriano pitches. Can’t be good in the locker room.
Ball went💩 and down
Pick all of us up some Vicks…so we can use it to cover up the stench like the coroners do, put a smear under our noses…..thanks
Brown just threw his 31st pitch with 2 outs in the 3rd inning.
Well at least they’re getting Soriano stretched out
More importantly, it’s getting us stretched out, for the Stench’ed out long, long, long season ahead.
So sad
But at least we won’t be stressed.
Stressed about being Stretched for the Stench.
Holy shit. This might be a tough season to watch.
The recurring failures to score are getting annoying.
I’ve given up on the season already. Now I’m just excited about letting the kids hit .220.
Ok. I was more in the “anyone for JD Martinez” club.
How’s his glove?
Schanuel would have had it.
I think so.
But thats our backup shortstop with that great throw folks.
And our starting 2B.
I’m not convinced of that.
Will it be Drury?
Against a RHP Im actually hoping thats the case

Logan needs some work. He, Trout, and Rendon are all out of synch.
Bat or Glove?
With the bat.
Im more concerned about his glove. Hes a big dude that sill has a lot to learn but hell definitely put in the time.
Agreed. He is only hitting .176 with 11 Ks in 34 ABs.
Is our offense allergic to taking a pitch? Hocks saw 6 pitches. The next 7 hitters have seem 15. Damn.
Hicks looked good though. And Soriano doesn’t look bad either.
Rendon looks awful. Jesus.
Perhaps our new pitching coach is actually coaching
Trout is still behind on fastballs.
So is Bally Sports West
Great signal from Bally Sports West😀
Bottom first we are likely to see 1-2-3, less than 20 pitches….another tradition
10! 🙂
Rengifo obliterated that rally with one swing.
Yes he did.
It’s our traditional 1st inning.
2 quick outs, 2 people get on, 2 out RBI, mound visit, 31 pitch 1st inning.
Perfectly normal, perfectly natural….trAdition
We barely need to watch these games, right, because the script is written in stone.
