All Time Angels (letter) N Team

Let’s assemble the best possible Angels team by letter of the alphabet to begin a player’s last name. Today is N. A mere 21 men whose last name started with “N” played major league baseball in an Angels uniform, but we were able to make a team of them nonetheless.

C – Mike Napoli
1B – Efren Navarro
2B – Jose Nieves
3B – Chris Nelson
SS – Junior Noboa

OF – Daniel Nava
OF – Morris Nettles
OF – Kirk Nieuwenhuis

DH – Phil Nevin

Napoli’s OPS+ of 119 is the only batter here with an OPS+ over 80. Efren Navarro is the owner of the 80. Everyone else here wouldn’t make many of these lists. Phil Nevin would not even bat Phil Nevin as a DH but he won the OPS+ coin flip over Jerry Narron 70 to 69.

SP – Fred Newman
SP – Ricky Nolasco
SP – Packy Naughton

RP – Julio Navarro
RP – Bud Norris

Another Navarro was respectable out of the bullpen in the early 1960s. That is pretty much the highlight of this staff.

This is the worst team we’ve seen so far.

I can’t imagine “O” will even have a full team either.

Move on to P right now.

Morris Nettles. A blast from the past. I’ve got one of his baseball cards. Strange how some players can get a shot at 22-23 and then are never heard from again. He wasn’t horrible.

He was fast but couldn’t hit to get on base to take advantage of it.
